The Player Character... (discussion)

… Is the Nemesis of the “Cairn” faction. This is my theory. Why is this the case?

-the player character is stronger than almost any other human. It’s clear that the player character is more than just your average joe that survived Aetherial possession

-the player can pray to the various gods of Cairn (devotion shrines) and receive the benefits of any of them.

-when a certain faction threatens Cairn’s survival, the player is sent to hunt them down. Essentially, when certain enemy factions kill humans/destroy Cairn’s environment to a certain degree, that faction reaches Nemesis status with Cairn and the player is sent to destroy them.

-the player character cannot join enemy factions in an attempt to destroy Cairn

You’re overthinking it, the player character is clearly your typical messiah. All that’s missing is some prophecy. But there’s a whole expansion for that.

Player character doesn’t have boss immunities, theory debunked.

Also you missed the chance to refer to the shared stash as the PC’s Nemesis Trove :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m gonna go ahead and say that the player’s nemesis resistances and nemesis HP pool were reduced for balance reasons. A valid point nonetheless, but I’m sticking to my guns :stuck_out_tongue:
