Hello, I recently made The Shard of Beronath and I just had some questions as to how it works.
From my personal testing the first stack increases all dmg of your skills (based off of the sheet damage changing) but stacks 2-7 do absolutely nothing to increase my damage as in no changes to sheet damage for any skill or the DPS stat.
What exactly is the point of going to higher stacks if 1 stack is all that seems to change your damage? Am I missing something? I’m still very new to the game and general mechanics.
Fixed an issue with Beronath’s Fury, Troll Rage and Savagery double-dipping into their flat damage bonuses. As this fix is effectively a nerf, the flat damage values were increased to compensate. This is a slight buff if you use these skills and mix in other abilities that deal % Weapon damage between auto attacks.

I tested Savagery with my Warder and my DPS only increases by around 2k with all 8 Savagery charges up according to the DPS tooltip, while in the previous version it showed that my DPS almost doubled with all 8 Savagery charges. And yet, i’m still doing as much damage as before (still killing Nemesis just as fast as before).
At this point i don’t trust the DPS tooltip very much anymore.
Yeah, I don’t trust it myself, in most games. However, the fact that there’s no change on stacks 2 - 7 means that they are effectively not doing anything. It should change on all stacks even if not an accurate representation of DPS.
I guess it may not be stacking properly. Maybe someone else could test that has it?
What does your skill-tooltip say?
Iirc my crappy (soon te be a reflect/retaliate) warder, my melee skills show slight decrease in steps from 6-0 (checked it a few days ago, but after the patch, was curious which skills are effected by savagery and which are not.
