But we can’t say for sure if “it” was a person, a cultist of C’thon, an ethereal or… something in between? I’m still trying to understand anything but logic is completely absent in the message.
Well, I agree with him on one thing,
and that’s the part where he wrote: “I like minge”.
Other than that, yea…
Maybe he’s just not faring very well in life right now?
Super late to the party here but – the complete irrelevance of gender is one of the things I love about Grim Dawn. The Taken is an average-looking, dirt-covered nobody – male or female. A few characters are highly sexualised for reasons that make sense in-game. Most are just trying to get to the next hot meal and shower. Priorities!

Hey, I wonder which characters you find highly sexualised?
I could only think of Byscilla. And I guess 80% of that impression is due to her incredibly “Goth Mommy” vibes voice acting.
She is the only reason I go for Bysmiel cult on all 2 (3) difficulties on each character I ever play. The reason I go to FG in the first place is simping for Byscilla and listen to her seductive whispers.
So, which characters are that for you?
I can’t obviously answer to his question but what I do know is a fact that Bys woman is built like that is because she had a role to somewhat manipulate Ulzuin and get him of throne after, which I guess succeeded? Not sure but everything in this game serves a purpose imo.
Very good lore behind small details with errors soemtimes too ofcourse.
You’re talking about Bysmiel herself. The cult is named after her (and is a cult worshipping her).
Now, I was talking about Byscilla, the leader of that cult. The one we speak to before joining.
She’s not Bysmiel. But I get the confusion, especially considering the name.
Oki, that’s very interesting. i always though that’s the deal, turns out its her worshipper.
Logically you would think if you follow something that close, you draw some of your idol’s similarities, amirite? But good to know, thanks for catch.
huh, that was news to me ![]()
I think it’s clearly telegraphed that Byscilla is Bysmiel, Sagon is Solael and Draellus is Dreeg.
I’d argue there are hints to that, but no direct evidence.
Would be cool down the line (FoA or maybe GD2?) if it turned out to be the case.
There are blatant hints, such as the similarity of names in all three cases and the fact that all three mysteriously vanish at the end. And Sagon’s “if Solael was here he’d cut you a new one” speech - of course, he is Solael but he is going to swallow your insult because he needs you.
I may be in the minority here but I find the female smuggler’s voice acting irresistible. She’ll hold on to that for ya.
Pretty sure her hair is long as well ![]()
This is getting weird ![]()
Getting weird? ![]()
Byscilla for those who prefer ladies and Riggs for those who prefer gentlemen. ![]()
I’m partial to Anasteria myself and I don’t even know what she actually looks like. Wish she had actual voice acting though.
As for the gentlemen, can’t lose with Bourbon. That voice is great.
I was thinking of Byscilla, yes. And given that she has reason to be the way she is, that’s not a bad thing. I love how in general, it’s just not the game’s focus. ![]()
I have no idea how you managed to read the whole damn thing to get that far.
My brain’s self-protection systems from Fundies Say the Darnedest Things blocked 90% of it lawl. But yeah, he likely (still) needs some better living through chemistry and a bucket of proper therapy, a shower, resocialisation and his room cleansed via Black Water Cocktails for good measure…
Oh and hands down the funniest, stupid review of GD on steam similar to this disconnection from reality was someone whinging about “Satanic Symbols!1!!1!” and how it made the game “anti-Christian”.
There’s also a review from the brain damaged troll called TL Gamer somewhere in the depths, and I think some “this game is woke” garbage has popped up as well. Though not the degree it effects indie games with any diversity in them. But mainly neg reviews are mainly:
- Tech issues that are user side that Crate’s meant to magically solve.
- Whinging about nerfs.
- Whinging about Sunder.
- Issues with translations due to file corruption or time it took in the past.
- “This is game should be more like X”, which has included X = Diablo 3

- Troll reviews of all flavours of the stupidity rainbow.
But yeah, if this “feedback” was posted as a steam review I would have used this chud as a chew toy and not given them a jester either. If I hadn’t got banned over a troll gaslighting everyone, but that’s a grump for another day.
Anyhow, I will try to read this dreck, because I can foresee reasons to snark on it with great gusto already. But now, sleeeeep.
