Theorycrafting Witch Hunter - need opinion

Hail and well met.

This is my first active posting on the forum, I have been lurking around for some time though.

I come to you with a plea for assesment and help in theorycrafting my (upcoming) character.

Concept:

  • Melee character with good mob clearing abilities and single powerful strike against bosses and whatnot.
  • Not necessarily Gladiator 150-170 viable build, but needs to withstand the endgame content in campaign, including roguelike dungeons and bosses.
  • Acid + poison damage based. Trio of Veil of Shadow and Rumor procing off Curse of Frailty should give a shred of 65 - 80% RR. Blood of Dreeg + Pneumatic Burst for healing and buffing. Manual circuit breaker (Blade Barrier) and automatic “oh-shit” healing powers from the belt.
  • Witchhunter is my favourite class in Warhammer tabletop. I wanted to make one viable in GD…

Any ideas on how to better it? Skill allocation? Different items?
Insights most welcome.

The reason for this post is simple. I have very little time to play during the week (family & work take precedence) and I am unwilling to commit several weeks of playing to nurse a toon that will ultimately fail me in the endgame. For the same reason, I am not going to have xyz amount of hours to grind and re-roll MI’s until my eyes bleed ad will have to rely either on GD Stash or luck.

Many thanks in advance!

grim tool link ?

People with less than 3 posts can’t post links. Most of them post shortened incomplete ones. He put one in the OP. Here’s the completed link:

Check out this thread for a Nightshade’s Reach Acid/Poison WH by sir spanksalot: http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75348

It’s fun, mobile and has 3 maxed out burst damage skills (ABB, SS, RoS) plus poison for some DOT love when kitting is necessary. I changed the Devotions slightly to complete Kraken and to get the Guardian’s Gaze proc (bound to Curse of Frailty). Here’s my take: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/0V0yxjMZ

You can level with maxed DEE with the transmuter and then remove the points later on.

Have fun!

Crikey.
This feels right at home. It seems the idea in general is viable.
Thanks! Will ponder this a while longer.
