I’ve never played any ARPGs in my life(not even Diablo games) but I must say that Grim Dawn made me love these kinds of games

You certainly cannot go wrong with choosing Grim Dawn as your first ARPG. And if you’ve missed Diablo era then I might be working on something that could interest you (check my signature for more info).

For me, I can not go back to diablo 2 anymore, even though it is still worth checking out. but as Ram said,k he is working on a mod that will hopefully capture capture the feel and setting of that classic game. So worth checking out if you want to experience more ARPGs in the future.
if you want more suggestions on which ARPG to try next, you will get a lot of responses, but for me, Grim Dawn is one of the best ARPGs currently available, and has a thriving modding community, something that is a must to keep a game going.
