I’ve started playing around a month ago and I’m level 76 on my main char, I’m having issues fighting the Elite difficulty last core GD’s boss. I bought AoM and I grinded my level up and beat it, got to level 76 but I’m not sure how to proceed.
What should I be doing to progress any further to level up and / or beat last boss to earn Ultimate mode ?
That motherfucker is actually strong. You need to overcap Aether, Lightning, Fire resists and have a good vitality and pierce resists (in second forme only) to beat him. Armor is a must too. You also should have a decent defensive ability value, ~2100 would be enough to not get crit by him (assuming you’re still level 76).

By pressing on the level you can set a value you’re interested in, for example, if he’s level 88 in your save, you can enter there 88 and see exact values of his damages and other stats and build your character around him.
I believe he’s referring to Log, not Theodin.
Acid, Chaos, and Fire res are what you really need to Logh, as well as some Phys res/armor if you’re up in his face.

What is a good level to take on him ? Despite optimal attributes to fight him with.
in elite? like 70 ish
the closer to your gear level the better, once you are above his difficulty mandated min level.
get decent DA, Armor, and overcap chaos, vitality and fire resists for the fight. Have enough %WD and %adcth (life steal) going to sustain yourself.
well if OP has skills that deal wpn dmg that is 
I maxed all resistances and got a total of 27% attack-restored-health + 2 skills with heavy damage to health, went in and just meleed and pwned its butt.
