Thoughts now that im 100 hours in..

Hello, howdy and good day. I just want to chime in on the forums now that I’ve put a little time into the game and get some fresh perspective on how you guys are enjoying the game so far. I’ve got 7 or 8 builds going at the moment with 3 at the level cap and have to say I’m super impressed with the replay value of whats been released. The itemization in this game is everything I enjoyed in diablo 2, missed in diablo 3 and then some. The difficulty curve feels spot on, especially on veteran and the variation of monsters and skill structure feel more and more balanced with each patch. With all that said my biggest gripe is the lack of gear storage for an item hoarder like myself but I think I read that that’s being addressed soon. Whats are your general thoughts on the game and where it’s going?

Brilliant game, and only going to improve, the devs care about the game and frequently listen to what is an active, and mature (on the whole) community. The only downside is the speed of updates, but that is to be expected from a small company, and i am sure everyone would agree that is far more important for them to take their time, than to rush content and ruin it.

Loving the game, been playing it now for about a year (around 2600 hours) and still the game impresses me after every update. love the farming, searching and discovering. i have gotten 120 fully geared characters all lvl 35, the main thing i do now is helping the devs and the community by trading and giving them tips about the game.

*to answer your question, the shared stash will increase in the next build (B22) so your loot hoarding can continue :stuck_out_tongue: this also counts for me 'cus i love farming and trading for all the items! *

I’m getting close to 300 hours played, and I just can’t help but keep playing. Like in TQ, I really get a lot of fun collecting items and playing different builds. Can’t wait for all the upcoming stuff ! :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh wow, and I thought I had played a lot. xD

And here I was all proud of my few 35’s lol.

You play over 7 hours a day on average? o.O

last year i had a lot of time, so i played it more then 7 hours a day xD

it is a lot less now… kinda burned out haha of grinding/farming and leveling characters

just need some dedication to create new builds and thinking of ways in which i can use a lot of gear. like only lightning damage, fire, cold, chaos etc… or just focused on 1 spell: DEE, shadow strike, phantasmal blades, devastation, firestrike, blitz, forcewave etc… or creating hybrids with focusing on aura’s for allies

you name it i mostly got it :stuck_out_tongue:

Dedication

Hey pluto, hit me up on steam. I couldn’t agree with you more. This game is the first to give me my Diablo 2 fix. As to your question, the build diversity is going to increase even more. When you look at the faction update that’s only the tip of the iceberg. There is the “Devotion” system that is hush-hush that is said to bring a new level of depth to builds, as well as expansion packs in the future. Medierra is the truest Diablo 2 fan developer I’ve come across, and I’ve spent 13 years tracking the ARPG genre.

He, Zantai, Rhis, etc. aren’t just going to release expansions that tack on a new area and 10 more levels. As they did for Titan Quest I’m sure they have things planned that will expand the content of the entire game.

Simply put, Grim Dawn is shaping up to be the “deepest” ARPG ever created. I say this with confidence.
