Hello GD community, new to the game and loving it so far, was wondering your thoughts on my build I have made my own, I love the idea of using a two handed ranged weapon to destroy my enemies and so on. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
Most of your points are for retaliation builds but still will help your current build.
You need CC and resist reduction for your build to have decent clear-speed. Right now your would be pretty tanky but have no means to take out enemies quickly.
Look carefully at your options on the devotion tree which you have not completed. Take Rhowan’s Crown and consider taking Solael’s Witchblade/Widow or both.
The Devotion tree is crazy complex and i’ve not really dabbed into it yet but I will look at the options you have suggested!
May have been a simple mistake, however, if you lower both mastery bars from 42 to 32 points each ( as you are not using any skills that require more than 32 points) you will free up 20 points to go into something else. You could put them into canister bomb or flash bang for a little crowd control.
Also, i would switch the amount of attribute points you put into physique and cunning. so 45 into phys and 35 into cunning.
Wouldn’t cunning be more required for better guns and or rifles? I’m trying to mainly go like a ranged type of deal or will it not really be required cause of gear?
EDIT: I see what you’re saying now, dealing more damage would be good. New Build here! Updated thanks to the poster above.
The highest requirement i see for rifles on graceful dusk (a site for looking at items) is 522 cunning, so even if you switch your attribute points, you would still have plenty of cunning to equip the rifles you find.
Also, just to note, the HP you get from physique is normally, imo, better than damage bonus’s you would get from cunning or spirit.
So i think you would be fine
EDIT: now noticing you updated your build it looks good to me. you may find that devotions may need some tweaking later on but i think you have a good start tbh.
You’ll be able to finish Ultimate with that setup. You may need to watch out for CC effects mid-game as being LMB only means that “impaired aim/fumble” will leave you unable to attack enemies. Hopefully you’ll have enough procs going off to still be able to stay in the fight.
Consider picking up canister bomb and maxing the transmuter. 100% stun chance in a huge area plus multi-proc potential for just 4 points which you could easily take off the top of Mogdrogen’s Pact.
I’m unsure of what you mean at the end but i’ll take a look into it, Flashbang is fun, but doesn’t cast as fast as I want it too.
Wendiego totem is insane for healing, id say its worth getting
Sorry, my wording was misleading. You have a maxed 12/12 mogdrogen’s pact which you could make 8/12 with only a minimal loss in regen rates to get the 4 points you need for canister bomb and the transmuter.
Also, wendigo totem is awesome if you are fighting in a small area (since the heal is within a range of the immobile totem, which must be in range of an enemy) but if you’re planning on going ranged it’s a bit more situational. Still a powerful heal, so consider it if you are getting wrecked too often or if you plan on staying immobile and firing.
So would Wendigo be more powerful then say the stun and flash bang or should I keep Canister and maybe go Wendigo? The more I watch people use Wendigo the more I kinda wanna use it for my guy.
Wendigo would be different. Stun is a crowd control, flashbang is CC and increases your chance to crit, Wendigo is an area heal. Very different outcomes from each skill.
Incidentally, here’s my take on your build. http://grimcalc.com/build/1009-4armZ2 This assumes that you’re going lightning/physical with a focus on lightning. You can ditch stormcaller pact if you want to focus on physical or some other damage type. Take a look at the Raka-Jax Legendary crossbow for a final weapon.
Even one point in Wendigo can heal that much? Impressive if it can. But i’ll give this build a shot as it seems you worked the devotions into something I wanna try.
The important portion of wendigo totem for you is the heal, which is 2%+30 at 1 and goes up by +x every point and +1% every 4 points with x scaling higher as you get higher, iirc. 1 point should be sufficient because an increase of 1% and ~120 flat heal is not a worthy investment of 4 points in my opinion. Others may disagree and say to get more.
So the last time i’ll reply in here about it, but so far i’ve not gathered a gun or anything, I keep getting Two Handers. Anyway I can keep my build but fashion it to work around two handed weapons and lightning? i’m guessing i’m going Ultros haha
Keep my previous build suggestion with one change. Take three points out of mogdrogen’s pact, put them one each into the three nodes of primal strike. Order of operations is ‘initiate with flashbang, lay down canister bomb, hit the densest cluster with primal strike, switch to savagery’
This build is very flexible in terms of which weapon you use as long as you focus on lightning/fire/physical damage, I’d recommend lightning+physical instead of lightning+fire
