I took tip the scales TTS in normal because I was using a lot of order affinity things. I just filled the nodes to reach TTS and not the whole constellation.
Now I am going to elite level. I’m thinking of speccing out because reading this thread I gather that it triggers on any hit (ranged or melee) but it will only hit things in melee. Right now I am using guns/cadence on a Commando. Just because I feel like it! But I’m only going to stick with TTS for the long hall if it makes sense for my build.
So can anyone confirm or deny if TTS makes sense for a build that is ranged? That is the question I am interested in. I am going some pierce with Assassin, and the Unknown soldier. I am mainly interested in this particular question regarding TTS. That is what I am interested in hearing about.
Thank you if you can answer the question about TTS on ranged attacker!
Thanks Hide. But how does it work mechanically? Ranged hits me does it zap them back with a ‘ray’? Or is it a radius around my character? Can you see where I am going? A melee would benefit much more than a ranged if it works as a radius burst. A ranged or melee would be even if it is a ray that shoots back at someone that hits you.
I just want to understand the mechanics so I can decide. If I am constantly running circles away from enemies then if it triggers a radius burst I don’t agree that would be useful for a ranged build who does not tank as ranged.
Now, I’m not a 100% sure how exactly it works. As far as I know it’s just an instant damage and some sort of reddish effect around the enemy that hit you. It does not have any range or radius. The guy that hit you will be damaged.
You will not always be able to kite everything around and perhaps you even will get tired of that. So it does make sense to be a bit tanky even as a ranged character and TTS gives you the necessary sustain - at least part of it and the 250HP from the first Devotion Point are nice aswell.
Thanks that is exactly what I wanted to know. And I liked your analysis the second part (that I didn’t include in the quote). So that’s how it works and what I was thinking of as a ‘ray’. I didn’t mean a ray that could hit extra targets in between, but rather just whoever hit me and triggered the TTS effect I want them to get hit whether they are next to me or far away.
