Trailer from Future Games Fest yesterday.

Looks nice, doesn’t sound very innovative (not everything has to be of course) If they implement it well it can be good fun. I think for me this will be more of a ā€œI’ll pick it up at some pointā€ kind of game rather than jump on it asap.

Yep, :crossed_fingers: today’s the day it goes into early access.

Yay  Normally I wont try EA games… but…

I tried the playtest a few months ago and my GPU’s fan was running at 100% but the game does not have any really specific visual feature that would justify it. It doesn’t have anything on Grim Dawn for example. I probably cannot play it and frankly I’m not sure I want to.

It’s reusing the name Titan Quest but only Greece was mentioned on promotional material… Where are my beloved Egypt, Babylone, Himalayas, China?

We don’t know yet if we’ll be visiting other regions or not.

You don’t think they would hint at it anywhere if it was planned?

Could come in an expansion later on for all we know.

Not sure I agree. It does look a lot better than GD, but also no surprise as they use a modern engine (unreal) vs GD with it’s 2010s tech :stuck_out_tongue:
That said, it does run a bit heavy. I got a pretty good pc and it stutters here and there.

I played it for a bit and I do like the combat and the skill system is kinda neat. Looks like a pita to balance though. I made two characters and one sucks the other obliterates everything :upside_down_face:
It definitely has potential and I look forward to playing it more later in the year (or next year).

Same, I’ll gladly play it but when it’s finished.

Are we talking about the art direction here or the stuff that consumes GPU resources?

The second  Art direction is alright though. I like the environment and enemies are decent, equipment is a little boring so far, but maybe that’ll get better when I get a bit further?

I ended up playing 10 hours. It was ok. I sort of regret buying it but it made me appreciate all the tiny things in Grim Dawn that we don’t notice anymore. It better be good in 2 years.

Sooo, after 10h i have explored everything, got to level 25 and experimented with a few builds(storm+warfare).
Considering that this is just an early access, the game is decent. I have a few things i hope that get added or modified.
-for me, using portals was a bit confusing. You really need a sketch of the map to show you the portals, where you are and where you want to teleport in relation to the world
-where is the block on shields??? bring back my block!!!
-a pin to keep open the details window of the character when you open the inventory screen
-less attacks that need to be dodged with the new dodge ability. Kinda feels like a souls game when fighting bosses
-the rogue and warfare mastery are kinda generic and bland
-more contrast to the map when showing the zones you can/cannot walk into and explored/not explored.
-hope we get more difficulties added (epic/legendary/ultimate something).

Also @medea_fleecestealer any idea what happened to the titanquest forum? I am pushing some xmax challenges and i have nobody to brag to :frowning:

Forum is still there.

A lot of the challenges we have on the forum are also now on the official TQ discord along with some new ones.

Where do u think would be the best place go give feedback about TQ2?

Overall I am very satisfied with my first 10 hours with TQ2

There is a survey link when you log out of the game that you can fill in. Otherwise join the official discord or in the Playtest discussion section on Steam.

Not sure I agree with this. The abilities are different from the two magic masteries. The rogue also has this doom stack thing which can allow for chaining kills. Kinda funny, but also annoying when you don’t get the kill and you have to wait for the cooldown. I’ve to give the warfare a good go. My first character used it, but I think I did it wrong. (damage output was meh)

It enhances the barrier ability. Very unexciting. I’m not a fan either

I agree that the map and portals are a bit lacking. I also got confused multiple times with the portals.
