HELP ME!!
Haha, dismantle and rebuild, then expand the amount of your farmland
You should be able to use the waste as compost to fertilize your fields. Doing so will get rid of the waste and boost your fields fertility by about 10%. Just check the building’s UI and you should find the button to do so.
Look at the second picture, I have doing it, the waste generated too fast!!!
Did you just not dump it on the farm for many years? I’ve never needed 11 compost yards. I usually need 1 per 100 people on average. And I always make the same number of farms as I do compost yards.
One critical problem (reported) with waste management is he only picks up from one building at a time and runs all the way back to the heap to dump it. This will cost a lot of time running back and forth, regardless of if he carries 4 waste from a house for 50+ from a single house. I have already suggested that he continue picking up door to door until his capacity is filled before he runs to dump a load off (pun intended).
Yes, when waste recycling was established in the south of the residential area, there was no one to clean up the residential area in the north, and when the north was established, the residential area in the south was not cleaned up, and it was very tangled
Right now i have a population of 700 and by the 500, i was getting the exact same problem: collectors werent going to the northern part of the map, and houses were full of shit and rats.
I had to double the quantity of collectors (from 4 to 8)and place them at different places to optimize the travel time to those houses.
Didnt help much. Its mostly inefficient the way its designed at the moment. Needs improvements.
Other interesting thing ive noticed, but its kinda obvious, the houses produce more waste when you have a large population without work for everyone. The more you leave them at home, the more waste they produce, which alligns with my problem of getting too many houses full of it by the 500 inhabitants.
Before that i barely had someone idle and not assigned to an activity. Now im getting 100+ people idle😐
what fps do you have if you don t mind…? 700 population should make the game very laggy
It is really very laggy.
I get 60fps most of time. Usually it only drops when i open anything that grids the ground (building, road tool etc).
But yes, it keeps lagging everytime i move around. Seems like the lag comes only when moving, by the way.
I had the same issue, mostly every time I loaded the game every home would be filled with poop and it took the night guys hours to deal with it. On that save I ended up making a ton of compost areas all around the town and it helped a little.
I don’t think that a proximity detector for waste is currently in the game. Meaning that you can have a collector right next to a house with waste but it still doesn’t get collected in favor of collecting something else way across town.
It will eventually be collected but it appears that the game cleans up waste based on when it is generated by any one building - regardless of where it is in your town - instead of where it is respective to the compost pile. This is something I hope is addressed in the future.
Would be nice if they had a circle like other buildings
They should add a simple way of burying it underground as first option available and fertilizer as higher tier one.
Confirmed. Same here. I’m at around the 500 mark and houses are just getting compose and rat notices left and right. Adding compose yards at various place to target grouped housing area doesn’t help very much. I have individually placed rat catchers to cover all storage area but the rat catchers just can’t keep up.
You need composters and assign a number of labors from the pool to that allocation. You will also have to spread it across your croplands. There will be several slots for it to fill before it runs out of storage. You will be able to tell when it is ready to be dumped by the indication over your house. As far as your crop rot, you need to rotate them often and keep the fertility up. Otherwise they will be lost due to that. I see you put the fences around the crop fields, which is good.
