Legit may be stretching it, but you could also reset those skill points in game…so it doesn’t really let you do anything you couldn’t do in game (although this way you avoid the iron cost).

I mean physics, cunning and spirit.

Oh, well in that case not so much.
There are a lot of things you can change that you wouldn’t normally be able to in the game. For a lot that’s part of the fun, but if you think that would make the game less fun for you I’d reconsider.

Hi Soul, is in Defiler the way to change HC build to normal? Or will be this included in the future? Ty
I can probably allow the changing of HC to normal in the next publish, I’m a little unsure yet to as to doing the reverse. This way people can still play their perished hardcore toon, just without the honor of it being HC anymore.
Soul
You can do this with GDStash.
Hmm, if GD Stash allows that to be changed (and in either direction) then I’ll go ahead and make that available. Along with that would be resetting of deaths (hardcore resurrection). You have to be able to do that anyway to go from normal to HC, otherwise you’ll just convert your normal toon to a likely dead HC toon.

It’s just a checkbox in the GDStash editor. I’ve tried going back and forth with it just to see what it did. It doesn’t seem to cause problems. And you can edit the death count.
Sounds good, thanks!

Just published the following version:
1.0.50 (7/25/2016)
-Character’s hardcore status may be changed now.
-Number of deaths can be edited.
-Greatest damage dealt may now be reset.
-Highest Crucible wave and score is now visible under the ‘Stats’ tab (for characters of the proper file format).
-Character name may now be changed, renaming a character in your save folder will cause the GD Defiler to rename that character’s folder to match.

New publish:
1.0.51 (7/26/2016)
-Added support for Grim Dawn Steam Cloud characters.
Consider this experimental, please let me know if any issues arise from modifying the Steam Cloud saves (my limited testing didn’t turn anything up).
Thanks!
PLEASE NOTE! You may have to uninstall GD Defiler and reinstall from the publish location! I had to change the target CPU which invalidates the old publish.
Specifically if you see the following:

New publish:
1.0.52 (7/27/2016)
-Added the ability to reset devotions.
-Added the ability to remove/reset masteries.
Please make a backup of your character before resetting/removing things like masteries, etc.!

There is an option to duplicate character, but its unavailable, will it be available in the future? Id like to try new crazy builds without starting new charcters.
Greetings
Yes! I’ll bump that up my list if possible (hopefully for this weekend). As a workaround you could make a copy of that characters folder but rename the folder to the name of the copied character. Then edit the character in GD Defiler to make the name in the file match, but otherwise you can hold out a bit longer until the GD Defiler takes care of that automatically.

THANK YOU I can now change my second mastery that was a mistake taking and not restart my character all over !
I haven’t been able to figure out how to reset my masteries. Help? I want to refund some Mastery points in my primary Class.
Select character, go to masteries/devotion, choose mastery #1 or #2 and click remove. Done.
Welcome.
Exactly what ExInstall said.
When will the app run without this strange install mechanism?
Hi,
Sorry if I’m being a moron but I can’t work out how to make this tool work.
I tried to file a character file to open but couldn’t find any. Is this due to cloud saving?
