A separate install is really nothing more than unzipping the tool to a different directory and going through the setup steps again
- unzip to a new dir
- specify path to mod database (this will be a little tricky as you really specify the dir the Grim Dawn executable is in and the tool then uses the text.arc and database.arz in the standard dirs in relation to the exe, so you will have to recreate that subdir structure for the mod in order to import its arz file - in your case the assumption is you can just import the vanilla arz again, so no need to recreate anything, just point at the GD install dir again )
- specify path to savegame, which in this case is the shared stash of the mod, ie save/users/<modname> or so, no real support for modded chars yet, I believe their location relative to the mod’s shared stash is different from the vanilla dir structure, but since you are mostly interested in the stash, that should not be much of an issue
- save config and press ‘import database’ to get the tool set hp
Will look into making it a bit easier to use a mod in one of the next releases
