if you are not using the latest version of the tool, update. If you are, this should be a really old char (from the beta days), load it in GD and try again. If it persists, post the player.gdc

Given that this happens on reload surprises me a bit though. I am not aware of 1.0.4.0 introducing a new format, which sounds like the probable cause. If it did, it did that in the final release too, the betas all worked fine for me

My char is not old, i use steam license gd, and last version of tool.
I tested also with english language - same errors.

The issue is not language dependent. The char you posted is fine.

When you press reload, the tool reloads the header info for all chars (so new chars you created in the meantime would get added to the drop-down list) and fully reloads the current char.

As the char you posted is ok, there must be some other char that is really old (from the beta days) for which reading the header info fails.
The error message should include the file path, so that should tell you which char is the problem, it does not have to be the one you are currently editing.

Load that char in GD to bring it to the current format (assuming they still support such an old format, no idea).

works for me. Of course this to a degree depends on your settings and items. By default you can only select affixes the item can actually have and not all items can have both a prefix and suffix (some craftable ones) or even any affix (most uniques).

If this is your issue, you need to change the ‘Affix Combinations’ setting.

If you cannot get an affix on items you are certain can have the affixes, let me know which one (item and affix) you are having difficulty with. That all should work however, if anything I show too many.

i went to look for the item , only the wear able item … before i can but now i can’t , i even have some item that i made but when i wanted to make similar to it but different stats i couldn’t.

PS: i still use Grimdawn version 1.0.1 , didnt update the game ( gog version )

That is a legendary item that has no affixes, so unless you set the affix combinations to ‘no restrictions’ you cannot assign any affixes.

The problem is i never had old chars, from beta. All my chars is one year old maximum. I get screen to show:

you are still on an old GD Stash version, update to the latest version. The save file format has changed and old versions of the tool do not know about save file versions that were added later

Guys, does this program works with 1.0.0.4? I go in “Crafting” window, take items, put them into my stash and press “save stash”. But nothing appears. Seems like they have changed something in files’ structure, because it is not the only program I have problems with. Grim Dawn Stash Managers doesn’t work for me too.

1.0.4.0 has a bug that results in it not updating the stash when you make changes to it externally while playing a char in GD.

If you are on the char selection screen while making the change and then start playing, the change is picked up.

Do you mean 1.0.0.4 as you wrote - or 1.0.4.0? If the former then your game is too old to cope with the updated GDStash is my guess. If the latter then it’s as mamba states.

I am not interested in starting to manipulate GD’s in game memory - I assume that is what you are referring to, as then there would be no reliance on GD recognizing the save file change.
