[Tool] GD Stash

Found out another “cheat” function: players can have unlimit number of crafting materials e.g. Blood of Ch’thon; just copy an item to DB multiple times. Haha.

with your current toons: you can also reset their masteries, adjust their faction status, rename them and create blank characters to easily flood ur character lineup collection with lvl 100 characters. There will be no need to go the leveling process again. You can also adjust your toons to have 0 death and upload them to reach hardcore max lvl instantly get achievements. Flood your crucible toons with tributes to reach wave 170 easily. If you find that fun its really up to you so you can just focus on crafting builds :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks for the hint but I find that is not fun. Happiness is progress haha.

Wow you are exploring America. Did you know there is also a char editor?

You have to switch to the mod on the Config page whenever you want to edit the mod’s stash / char.

You do not need to import the mod data again however.

Assuming the mod is a superset of vanilla, ie has all the same items as vanilla and its own items, rather than changing the vanilla items, you could simply stick with the mod throughout.
In that case you shoyld transfer your vanilla collected items to the mod collection however (export the vanilla items to a file and import that file to the mod DB)

given that you can simply create the item outright, this seems like a minor ‘issue’ to me

Craft Blood of Chrhon, set count to 999, way faster than copying the same item 999 times…

I just lost all my items in the Shared Stash.
Moved stuff from my shared stash to DB, then moved stuffed from my char to DB. After, the toon was not found anymore in the list of toons, also my shared stash was reset. After restart, my toon came back (I still saw the toon in the saves, cloud save that is), but my stash is reset to 1 tab and all items gone

Had that happen once, though I crafted something into my toons stash.
Lesson of the day: Cloudsaving is buttcancer.

Cloud save synchronizes when I’m leaving the game. I can’t see a good reason why cloud save would reset my shared stash in the middle of the game. I was afraid that this would happen, and it did early, since I just started using this past weekend. Well, I guess that’s what the crafting part is for right

Well… I don’t know… I lost 4 double rare affix items I found/crafted legit, I obviously don’t remember them tho. So they’re gone now…

It’s been stated before, do not use GD Stash while GD is running if you are using Cloud Save. Just don’t. <----- Seriously.

Yep, lesson learned.

Even if you are using cloud, it can never hurt to manually back up your saves to a safe place. I´d also recommend to do this with the GD Stash database every X days. X = level of your paranoia in days.

@HolyOne With this tool you can craft everything you want, why do you care of “your” items ?

Because many people just use it to store their collected items in, not for crafting or “cheating” items.

Then there’s the thing aboug using multiples of found single item.
Using the same item from Stash with multiple toons ain’t cheating, it’s QoL sincs you don’t have to load one toon, undress him/her into shared, start with another toon and get the stuff from stash.
Using multiples of an item you only have one in Stash on same toon, like rings or weapons, is imo cheating.

Don’t change your stash while playing GD when using cloud save. Make sure GD is not running, or use local saves.

You should be able to recover your stash by renaming transfer.t00 back to transfer.gst. Make sure to keep a copy around in case this fails and the cloud one gets preference. Also, do not have GD running while renaming the file.

Cloud saves are finnicky, the tool always writes the file back correctly, what happens after that is outside my control. With local saves I never had any issues, users said that not having GD running while making changes to the files in the tool seems to prevent cloud save issues.

Ha, if I knew earlier… I already moved on and recreated the items I remembered (and cared for), mostly mats. So “my” save is already gone.

And yes, I just wanted to store my items and not cheat them, that’s why I used this tool in the first place since the devs openly rely on 3rd party tools for more stash space… I was just sick of creating mules over mules…

no it is not. GD updates the transfer.gst file and creates the backup as transfer.gst.bak.

GD Stash on the other hand creates a new transfer.t00 (or .h00 for HC) whenever it saves the stash. The former .t00 is then ‘moved down’ to .t01 and so forth, with .t09 being the oldest backup the tool keeps.
As GD does not touch these files, they should all still exist and you can recover them.

Thanks for your explanations.

I might not have been clear, I’m sorry. In my attempts to manually recreate the items, I created items and saved the stash repeatedly. This led to the point that the files mentioned by you were repeatedly created and “my” save was shifted out of the 10 saves. I tried the oldest (09) and it was already overwritten with another stash state.

Hello everyone,

Yesterday I tried to reset my classes on my main character, and using GDStash, it reseted my charater (from level 78) to lvl 1, loosing all the stuff and everything. I tried manythings to get it back like deleting steam “save” folder and puting it in the GrimDawn folder, but doesn’t work.

Can you help me please?

Thank you for reading me
