Did I just lose everything I had collected by pressing import database again? Please tell me I didn’t. Where is my collection stored?
After starting GD Stash via the batch file (and pointing it toward the correct location of Java), GD Stash successfully imported the database. Everything is still there. Yay! Sorry for the confusion.
the only way to do this is to wait for the import to finish, not sure why it takes that long though, maybe it crashed silently in the background… are you using the latest version ?
Importing the DB does not affect your stored items at all, it only updates the GD definitions.

@mamba, new poster having problems with GD Stash, but not an obvious thread title to indicate this here.
Today I downloaded Grim Dawn Stash. The problem is that I can not add any item in the crafting tab.
Going by the image, you have no transfer stash selected, which should mean that none exist in the save dir you specified.
The first drop-down list on the right side shows the available stashes, it should be empty (otherwise a stash should be selected). Please check that. If it lists stashes, select one, otherwise you either have your saves in a different dir (local vs cloud) or have not talked to the Smuggler in Devils Crossing yet.
When using cloud saves, do NOT have GD running while making changes.
On the right, I can not choose anything next to the mod inscription and above the word.
My ignorance cost me my entire shared stash tabs. But while trying to fix the problem I somehow made it worse. I cant even search items using crafting section, and to the right SC Vanilla(.bst) text is red, with only one tab. I’ve read the FAQ and tried to restore previous transfers but I havent noticed anything come back.

Is there any way to fix the crafting part atleast or remove GD Stash files and reinstall? I tried reinstalling and nothing changed.
I did not expect you to be able to, as mentioned, so that confirms my expectation.
This simply means you have no transfer stash yet (have not talked to the Smuggler yet), or you specified the wrong save dir, also as mentioned. So one of these two is the solution.
not sure what you tried, but you must have deleted the tool’s database in the process as it no longer recognizes the items. So you need to import the GD data again on the Config page.

that is normal, the color only indicates that this is an obsolete file (AoM copied your vanilla transfer.gst to transfer.bst as a backup), and vanilla stashes had one page only I believe (has been a while…)
At most that shows that you are looking at the wrong stash file, i.e. not the one AoM uses
Was trying out GDstash and added some items, saved my inventory and exported gd stash, went into the game and my shared inventory and all the tabs was erased. Know roughly what i had in them, and when loading the GDstash file under im/export tab my items are there but lost when going into the stash transfer tab. Any suggestions to how this happened or to get it all back. I think I’m using my cloud save files since i can’t find any files under *:\Users* \Documents\My Games\Grim Dawn or under *:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grim Dawn where the gamefiles are installed

you are using cloud save as this only happens with cloud save…
The tool writes the file back correctly and then the cloud save somehow gets confused and does this. Not running GD at the same time as making these changes seems to prevent this.
As to getting your files back, in the save dir there are backups, transfer.t## with .t00 being the most recent, .t01 being the one before it and so forth. Search for the file with the lowest number that has a larger size than the current transfer.gst and copy that over transfer.gst (i.e. delete the current .gst, copy the .t## and rename the copy to transfer.gst).
Do this while GD is not running.
No. I did this for a reason, namely so people that do not have the Kickstarter / Supporter pack items also cannot craft them in the tool.
If you store them, they should show up, probably under potions (not sure, will need to check), but obviously there is no need to store them as you can always get them in game
If you cannot find them on the Transfer page, I can look into that. If you cannot find them on the Crafting page, that is intentional.

I backed up my database a few days ago then my pc crashed. Got a new pc and Im importing everything now (thank you!). Any chance that GD stash would have backed up my characters too or are they gone? Thanks for your help.
Characters are not backed up. Also, the only items it stores are the ones you put into it, everything else your chars / stashes contained are not in it either.
You might still be able to access your old disk though, PC crash or not.
