[Tool] GD Stash

Newer player, just the last four months of fun and excitement in GD and I wish I’d found the game long ago, have used GDStash a lot the last two as all my characters ran out of inventory space. Using playtest version with today’s update, downloaded 1.8.2b, that fixed the “GDStash won’t open at all” issue, but both characters I used today are impossible to load for stash, inventory, or bag–same error about compatibility and checking for a new version.

Yep, got the same thing. I didn’t even test this when I first opened v1.8.2b.

@mamba - here’s the error from opening a character’s stash:

I think Mamba should just wait until the release of FoA. It seems devs are going to keep throwing patches daily or every now and then until FoA release in the playtest branch.

The tool works fine for manipulating the shared stash. it’s only working with individual toons’ stashes/equipment that’s messed up.

Did you all reimport the database after installing v1.8.2b?

yes
they probably just touched the char data in someway yday hotfix, like mamba said how the data was changed necessitating xy GDS version prior

It can actually read characters that haven’t been loaded since the latest series of patches, but once you have loaded a character in game the format is changed and it can’t be read anymore.

Tested and working - can’t thank you enough, @mamba!

Thanks, mamba!

the new ui is visually broken but it still works as intended.

thanks, will have to check that. I did not change the screen at all, so this must be on the GD side

Fixed, will wait a little before releasing a new version though, at the latest it comes with the full GD release

Agree. If they keep throwing these little updates, it’s better to wait for the full release than have you fixing it every 2 or 3 days. Thanks mamba.

@mamba There seems to be a bug in the Character Editor, in particular with the option to remove the berserker mastery (the red X next to the mastery name). I’m currently using GDstash 1.8.2c but the bug was present in earlier versions as well.

This bug happens when your character has points in one of the wereforms. Removing the Berserker mastery with GDstash will refund more points than you invested. This can lead to 32 extra skill points when using that option to respec a build that has invested 16 points in a wereform.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create new character
  2. Level up to level 2, you’ll get 3 skill points
  3. Select the Berserker mastery, put 1 point into the mastery bar and 2 into Werewolf
  4. Exit the session and load the character into the GDstash char editor
  5. Remove the Berserker mastery with the red X button

Expected result: You should have 3 skill points
Actual result: You now have 7 skill points

The character in the editor before removing the mastery:

And after removing it:

The same happens with Wereraven characters. For example a level 9 character has 28 skill points. Invest 12 points into the mastery bar and 16 points into Wereraven, then remove the mastery and you will have 60 skill points.

Thanks, fixed (i.e. added support for this new GD feature), will wait with the release for the full GD release
