Unfortunately there are still some items with missing stats after looting into GDIA. Inscribed Bracers are missing Skill Disruption Protection, for instance. (They come back into the stash fine though.)
What is the latest version? I’m running 1.2.7028.21129 from 30/03/2019 with regular automatic updates. Should we be using experimental? Moving to that didn’t change the version number in the log.
Thanks for all your hard work! I know keeping pace with updates isn’t easy.
So i’m trying to use grim internals x64 and gdia x32. (could have got the 32bit internals but whatever)
So when I want to use gdia I have to exit the game, load up the 32bit client, transfer items, then exit and relaunch grim internals x64 until I want to transfer again?
It’s not broken, it’s a feature not a bug.
Until the “reading stash from memory instead of file” bug in GD is fixed, this is better than IA looting duplicates.
what bug is that ? That they read the shared stash from file each time you open it ? That is a feature, not a bug, as far as I am concerned…
What is the problem with looting stacks / stacking items that can be stacked (which you should be able to identify easily for the most part, ie potions, components, enchantments) ?
Thanks for the link. Unfortunately I’m not seeing any change after installing over the original setup and using Load Database and Update Item Stats. The version still shows as 1.2.7028.21129 from 30.03.2019. So next I:
removed all items from IA
uninstalled IA
redownloaded the beta
installed a fresh copy of IA beta
log still shows 1.2.7028.21129 from 30.03.2019
use Load Database
use Update Item Stats
looted the above Inscribed Bracers into IA beta
Skill Disruption Protection missing from item display
use Load Database
use Update Item Stats
restart IA
Skill Disruption Protection still missing from item display
Am I doing something wrong or did I just happen to pick the wrong item to test with?
You do have FG installed right? as there seems to be some issues with the beta if you don’t have it installed. or else, you could join the discord and post this there, you might get a better response.
I’ve encountered a strange thing. Whenever I start Grim Dawn in 32bit mode, Item Assistant closes and GD closes too. The next time I try to start GD Item Assistant it says it cannot find the GDIA.exe file. In the folder where Item Assistant is installed the .exe files simply gets deleted.
I tried the following:
-reinstalled GDIA
-updated database and item stats
-uninstalled GDIA when this problem appeared again
-installed GDIA beta
-updated database and item stats
-started GD 32 bit and the problem appeared again (it closes GD and Item Assistant exe file gets deleted)
Should I try to start GD in 64 bit mode, and perhaps install IA in different folder than C:/Program Files/?
its quite simple, once the item is copied to GDIA, the item gets removed. if you want to move stuff back to GD, you click on “transfer to stash” on the item’s description, (making sure you don’t have the stash open)
it transfer the item back to the stash. allow you to put it in another tab or equip it.
so basically, it uses the last 2 tabs as your transfer tabs, but for the most part, they are empty, as the program stores the items.
