Apparently it’s every 1x1 item as far as I can tell.
Ah, I thought you were referring to the items not being stacked.
What you’re seeing is actually a lazy decision on my part to only allow 16 items to be transferred at a time, to avoid having to calculate how items fit together in each inventory slot etc.
But I intend to raise this number slightly, since GD will compensate by rearranging the inventory when items overlap.
This is working great for me - MUCH better than juggling 20+ different mule characters
Hehe… Yeah…
I was on my 6th mule when I said f-it, I’ll make a tool for this
Some of my items do not have a name on them…
Mods => Select vanilla => Load database
That’ll fix it.
Thanks mate, now I have new pc and when I install GDIA i get the attached error… sorry to be a pain but could you assist? I’m not great with pcs.
Do you know your windows version? Or UUID (open %appdata%…\local\evilsoft\iagd and check the log file, if possible…)
Have you tried running it as administrator?
Can you try installing the .net framework 4.5? https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653
(It may be required in the next update either way)
Some googling reveals this to be an update on some old unpatched versions of net framework 4.0
Hopefully we can get this resolved quickly, but I’m fairly busy until Monday.
Thanks! was .net!
Enjoy the beer money!
Thanks! Just glad we it got resolved and running again! =)
I have a few questions.
-
Do I always need to change filters to refresh the list after storing new items?
-
What does “Merge affixes” in settings do?
-
What does “Secure Transfers” in settings do?
-
Is there any way to store all IA-related files locally? That is, a portable installation?
-
Is there a guarantee that an item with “+567 HP, 15% fire resist” won’t change into “+765 HP, +14% fire resist” after IA update or during storing/retrieving item?
Search didn’t bring me any results for those questions.
Yup, it doesn’t do a new search to reflect newly stored items.
It ignores the affixes on greens/yellows.
Lets say there’s a “Longsword of the bear” and “Longsword of Shadow”, it would just list that you have 2 Longsword.
It ensures the stash is closed before allowing any transfers.
Disabling this is recommended only in emergency situations if you cannot get the stash detection to work.
At present, no.
But simply moving the %appdata%…\local\evilsoft\iagd\data\userdata.db file to a new machine should do the trick.
IA will never change the stats of an item, not ever.
However, the stats you see inside IA are just the ‘base’ stats of an item, not the real stats it will have in-game.
Thanks for the reply.
SlipperyPete is there any way to back up the IA using a USB? I don’t use Dropbox or the cloud and I’ve no idea what the third symbol is under backups. Can’t seem to click on any of those either. Is there any way to use the Custom setting for a USB? Having stupidly told my GOG version not to save my games when I had to uninstall it (it got corrupted and needed reinstalling) I thought I’d lost all my toons and everything in the IA too, but I had backed up my toons which I’ve now got back in place and I have the stuff in the IA now as well. Still I’d like to be able to back up stuff in the IA separately from the toons just in case.
Select “Custom” and select a folder on your USB drive.
Then “Backup now”.
That should backup both IA and your characters.
And the icon you’re referring to is most likely OneDrive/SkyDrive (by Microsoft, not Sky™ UK Limited™)
Okay, thanks SlipperyPete.
I might be slightly special in the head, so I’m probably doing something wrong here. But how do I get IA to pull the items? I put items into Stash 4, close the stash, and it almost seems random as to when an item will get pulled. I know it isn’t happening as soon as I close the stash. Also, after IA eventually pulls the item, is there something special I have to do to get it to actually show up in the viewer? Having to completely restart both GD and IA seems to do it, but seems like an excessive step if I only uploaded one item…
Like I said, I tend to be not so smart about these things and it’s highly probably I’m doing or have done something wrong. Any help is appreciated!
EDIT: It seems I have to actually run away from the stash guy for it to pull the items, so that’s fine there. The only thing now is having to restart IA to get the items to show up, is that as intended or am I doing something wrong?
Are you trying this with the IA closed? It should be running while you’re playing GD.
Yeah, I start GD, then start IA(gives me an error about not being able to parse the database due to GD already running), then I start messing with the stash.
Newly imported items don’t show up dynamically in the window until you do something; however, if you change any filters the new items should show up immediately. Assuming that the item matches your revised filter, of course.
