Btw is the Blood Knight helmet on your Warder there simply because it’s easier to get access to or is it actually better than Callagadra’s helmet for example? I’ve been using that on my retal Warder (since I had a few just collecting dust), but the whole build is a bit of a work in progress still.

If it was going to be 20, it would have been easy to just nerf those, but now that it’s 21…
I think we’re just gonna have to go ahead and nerf everybody to save time.

Halves the cooldown of Counter Strike (from 0.4s to 0.2s). And global CDR on top for all the procs. Seems good.

Well, I never thought about it tbh. Guess I can try if it feels better. Not that I’m not trusting the results here, but if it saves only a few seconds then I don’t rly care.

The thing is, Counter Strike isn’t usually a strong damage dealer even on retal builds.
Also, it’s balanced around having a certain CD. Dawn set is already boosting skill’s damage and decrease it’s CD. With BK helmet is even lower and procs like a machine gun. Build has a strong foundation, but CS is the star of the show, so it makes sense to take this item.

Well I’ll certainly try. My Warder isn’t even 100 yet (and devotions are underleveled) and 30-31 already feels a breeze. So should be great.

It’s the fastest build we have however in terms of tank to damage to affordability of gear it loses out to Warder. Personally I put it as third best build, I think Chillwhisper Reaper is overall stronger, but because some put it as a number one build it got second place over Chill.
I use this old term from my D2 days. Obviously with no online play and trade it doesn’t make sense in GD. What I mean by “expensive” is “gear that will take quite a bit of time to farm out” and also when build’s performance heavily depends on good affix combinations (usually the case with Pierce and Phys).
Freeze resistance crafting bonus.
We’ve been thru this, if we don’t high roll every build we test it will be pretty hard to adequately compare them (“average rolls” are impossible to define and will take a lot more time to stash).
Your input was probably the most valuable in the end as you didn’t have any horse in the race plus you didn’t nerd out with piloting so your runs and pov were closest to average GD endgame enjoyer’s runs.
Many many times! It had more qol but less tank. VF part is pretty strong on that RtA FoI.

Man, end of forgotten gods edition, more like hopefully, the end of the forgotten guns editions. Since fg release the only viable top aa guns were mostly rta based with a sprinkle of good old shotgun/passthrough abuse before that was also patched out.
Any chance you could share the grimtools for the builds categorized as “passive”? I’m really interested in minimal-input builds, even if they aren’t top 30 material just being considered is pretty cool, IMO.
I just updated the Table of Contents on the spreadsheet and fed the tagged damage types onto the front page for reference. Nightbringer Archon is the only one tagged from the Top 20 21, the other two were Pyran Shieldbreaker (mortars) and Ludrigan (totems).

I’m still kinda new-ish to the game and didn’t understand like 30% of what was written there, especially the nuances and “interesting ideas” people were discussing here, but I know enough to figure that full TWO pet builds in a top like this is a moment in time indeed.

after playing some of these myself even before the list came out, even the ones in the lower 11-20 are still insanely good. Aether phantasmal blades with proper positioning so all hit 1 guy does some of the most insane dps in the game (just req insanely good piloting skill), spam sigil is probably the tankiest build on this list once it stacks 20+ sigils in 1 spot
and the nightbringer archon being a nice replacement for the old ludrigan totem setup being better in everyway, much tankier, much more damage, and very safe. Though, harder to gear then ludrigan. You dont have to look at the top 1 to play the game, though having counterstrike hit every .2 sec (aka 5x a second) is just insane. hit like a machine gun and you dont even have to do much to kill things but you can still savegry as well.
