Well imagine you made yourself an endgame build. How many times are you going to do each type of content? Probably farm SR or/and Crucible a lot, sometimes Campaign. But Calla? Well once per character tops. But once you realise that fight against Calla is stupid easy on some builds (like kiting dot builds) and almost impossible on another (melee or ranged builds) fighting once per character will also get old.
So in my opinion, you can only judge build’s effectiveness against Calla by its effectiveness against Calla. It’s not a real tank check or dps check or well constructed build check or even a real piloting challenge.
А я убивал Келли целыми днями подряд, чтобы шлем выпал с максимальными характеристиками ![]()
I am encountering this exact thought process tonight. Recently made a chillwhisper reaper (turned out almost identical to no.3 spot. learned this after all this…). After testing I adjusted it to be able to kill calla with no hp/energy potions or buff potions, just stand toe to toe with that mf. It was cool for about a day, then I went to farm SR today and realized how much damage I lost and thought “im probably never killing her again on this toon… but I intend to farm SR/crucible… so may as well switch back to the full damage build…”…
Makes me wonder, what IS the goal? Its just opinion ofc, but seems like just aiming for SR/crucible and going turbo is more fun than making a tanky build where you can unbind HP pot.

Goal is whatever is fun for you. For us, top20 builders, “goal” state of the build is reflected in the way those top20 builds are min-maxed: enough survivability to comfortably farm farming zones with an emphasis on damage since not only it’s more fun that way but also offense is often the best defense in GD.
Hi everyone. I am kind of a pet enjoyer, and i build this Acid Ghol Ritualist with a couple of regen/ resist devotions (dont like my pets to die to be honest XD). So far i killed everything in the game but it feels the build can ge further improved, am i missing something? I know this char will never be on pair with Chaos Cabalist (chaos damage gets more love from devs) but i wanna be able to kill the likes of Ravager more quickly. Any ideas? Thank you very much, cheers!
We have acid Ghol Ritualist in the sheet, you can use it as a target in terms of stats.
I see. Is it endgame viable tho? Acid damage doesnt have much love from devotions and equipment, can it reach the potential to be on pair with vitality skellie ritualist or chaos cabalist?
Thank you very much sir. Can it be adapted to include skellies too?
Hello! Thank you so much for creating and sharing these guides.
I apologies if this was already posted/asked. I am a returnee and currently going thru the game using the Dawnbreaker Warder build.
Can anyone give me a devotion guide with regards to the Dawbreaker Warder build? I have no idea where to start and how to get to the end-game devotion form as seen on the grimtools link. Would really appreciate it. ![]()
How does the Brutallax Dervish compare to the Bloodrager Trickster? It seems like it loses qol in terms of an extra movement skill and RR application, a lot of defences due to amulet change as well as juicy crit damage multiplier. But it gains loads of flat bleed damage to Savagery, damage absorption and a few extra procs.
I wonder how much weaker Bloodrager is?
I went like this:
1 blue → sailor’s guide
1 yellow → Lion → Shieldmaiden
1 purple → Anvil → remove purple
→ Messenger of War
Remove Sailor’s guide
1 Green → Raven → Widow
Remove blue crossroad
Targo
Remove Lion
Now finish off the remaning from the build, should be straightforward
Added Hardcore section to the OP.
Video showcase for each build by kektoss will be added later.
They are in different universes. Bloodrager Trickster is a pure Bleeding build, few levels below this Dervish in terms of clearing speed.
Added video overviews to each build’s subsection.
BTW, it seems the wrong video was attached to the Demonslayer build. It has the Nightbringer DEE build video instead.
For who is wondering, here’s the actual build vid:
I wanna play #31 Harbinger Conjurer in 1.3 PT, where Upheaval has turned into WPS.
I’m assuming it’s worth to spec into it - correct me if i’m wrong (i’m new and NOT a builder).
Where would you get the points from and which items/WPS would change? Any help is appreciated!
That’s the calc I have in current playtest: Conjurer, Level 100 (GD 1.2.1.6) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
