I wonder if Beastcaller Conjurer managed to beat Chaos Cabalist and Vitality Ritualist since the new changes
Dps vs chaos cabalist, no. Chaos cabalist also get buffed with the sword for summoning pure mages. The only difference is that Beastcaller can kill Callagdra and Uber much easier and faster. Not sure about skeleton builds vs Uber.
I see. I’m kinda curious tho, i have a char i am working on from quite some time, and i wonder how it can fair against its “cusins” skeleton builds. It’s an Acid Ghol ritualist, and the expansion buffed it quite a lot. Skeletons are still pretty fragile tho. I’ll leave it here in case someone wants to test it or has advices fopr the build (i was thinking about switching from Nighttalon to Toad, for example)
Do we have new tier list for 1.3? Or people still exploring stuff I guess.
Don’t expect an update anytime soon.
The expansion came out just a month ago.
Even with minor patch changes these things take months and months to make, and now there is all the expansion stuff to consider, not to mention all the general rule changes.
Honestly, I would be surprised if there is any kind of concensus yet on how to even TEST a top 20. Do we still measure shattered realm or shift to Ascended mode? With or without Altar modifiers, and if so which ones? Is there any kind of universal speed standard there we can use to measure things? When designing “realistic” builds, what do we do about affixes, rerolling, ascended affixes, potion bonuses? Etc.
The game is still being changed.
There will be new challenge dungeons and more items in upcoming patches in the coming months. And there will be a LOT of balance changes in the coming months.
Even over the past few weeks there have been a bunch of patches tweaking all kinds of difficulty settings. In the coming months there will be heavier balance patches.
You could make a top 20 now where every character is a Werewolf or Wereraven with TDM & max attack/casting speed bonuses, only to get a patch that makes Form of the Beast affect only werewolf/wereraven skill, and all your work would be lost.
The game is in flux. It’s time to experiment and try things out, there will be time for top lists later.
I expect a list somewhere in 2027.
This current one took more than half a year of testing (from the moment 1.2.1.6 dropped), and that was much smaller change(s) to the previous list of 1.2.1.4 (sorta).
Considering how much FoA added even just in terms of new items and another mastery, I wouldn’t expect another top 20 for at least a year.
Then there are frequent post-launch patches with nerfs and buffs that shift the meta.
That all needs to settle down.
And then there is an entire “ascended affix” debate for consideration.
And of course some of the people who took upon the testing are having the break from the game currently.
So yeah, go play the game.
The game expanded way too much, and we don’t become younger and less busy with rl, so the precision of the previous lists is out of the question for a while. And it will be somewhat pointless right now cause the game will likely have a big post-dlc balance pass.
We thought about doing smth intermittent and smaller scope, like rough draft lists. And maybe some deeper dives into “how to make endgame builds”, if there will be enough time and motivation.
For now, you can browse our yt channels, they are just databases where we upload everything we test that’s worth showing.
edit: this is the Crucible record build that’s probably top1 right now. but what’s the chance it survives the next patch? about 0%. and that goes for all current virtual top30 builds (likely 29 random berserkers, including 25 furries, and 1 sad retal warder).
