Top 3 Most Anticipated Necromancer Builds.

I highly doubt that Shaman+Necro combo would be better that Necro+Occultist regardless of dmg type used.
And Necro+Soldier look promising for Crusible. =)

Agreed! i think necro/ occu is going to be the strongest and most flexbile necro build giving occu/ shaman vitality caster a run for its money.

Personally I’m looking forward to trying my hand at my first pet build, a poison pet-based (solely poison damage-dealing pets) Cabalist, which is Necro + Occultist. Poison pets include Necro’s Blight Fiend, Blighted Rift Scourge from the Blightshard Amulet, and the eldritch hound from the Bysmiel’s Bonds devotion proc Bysmiel’s Command. We will leave naught but disease and death in our ruinous path.

Edit: Items that will buff the aforementioned poison pets include the Blightstone Invoker wand and the headpiece Circlet of the Great Serpent - thank the gods that transmog is coming with the xpac, such a simple crown is unbefitting a glorious servant of the Witch Gods.

I love this! there’s a special place in my heart for thematic builds. I hope the unreleased skills offer some additional poison damage.

None

from what I have seen of both new classes I am not excited at all about ether of them.

That’s what you said about Arcanist upon it’s release. Then it became your favourite…

Given the title I thought ‘this is easy, Occ + Necro, Shaman + Necro, NB + Necro’. Somehow you missed Occultist and went Arcanist instead

That is true

So we will see, but I hate pets and don’t find dual pistols to be fun (except to use double procs from 2 guns as caster)

If i was going by what i thought was going to be the most powerful, I think occu/ necro would be the winner, but like i said in my video, these are the builds that I’m most eager to try. Perhaps a better post title would’ve been "My Top 3 Most Anticipated Necro Builds. "

Without having seen all the tree it is difficult to say. Probably Necro + occult pet vit/chaos/poison hybrid, Necro + Occultist time dilation Doombolt/Reap Spirit, and some sort of Necro + Arcanist Aether + Cold or Vit build.

I am very much looking forward to inquisitor as well. Lots of interesting elemental abilities there.

I’m interesting in Reaper(Necro+Nightblade) and Purifier(Demo+Inquis)

I’d like to be a reaper like Malthael in D3. It’s so cool.
And again. For DW and being ranged. Inquisitor is new hope for that and Demo was already good at it.

Necro/Night blade melee dw

Necro/Inquisitor not sure.

Necro/ Demo because I like demo.

I thought the idea of the apostate to be pretty cool. But looking at the skills I don’t see a lot of synergies.

Easier synergies are Shaman (vitality/pets), Nightblade (vitality/poison/cold), Occulist (vitality/pets), Demo (pets on fire), Soldier & Arcanist (Cold caster)

Hi guys

Any ideas when the expansion will be released so I can plan ahead?

I am thinking of levelling an Occultist and a Soldier - 2 characters - till I finish their mastery bars. Then I will wait for the expansion & fill in the second masteries of Necro and Inquisitor to both characters respectively.

(Issue is I have limited playing time and I am playing 4-5 level 85 characters at the moment to max their new devotion levels due to respec as well as levelling 2 other characters. I am preparing to get all my >10 level 85 characters to the new expansion cap once expansion is released.)

Thanks for any heads up!

I want a vitality caster as my first necro-build. Depends on what the second necro exclusive skill is (vitality/aether damage based or not), it would be

Necro/Shaman - Drain Essence+Wendigo Totem+Modified Storm Totem+Devouring Swarm
or
Necro/Occultist - Drain Essence+Sigils+Curse of Frailty

  1. Necromancer+Soldier (Death Knight) - The first one that I will try. Will go for mainly skeletons plus their upgrade that increase their numbers and Field Command+Squad Tactics. Will make it a melee character too, so I will also get Military Conditioning+Decorated Soldier+Scars of Battle to give some toughness. I’m thinking in also making it deal aether damage because of Reap Spirit (by the description it looks like it will be a melee skill), Spectral Binding+Spectral Wrath, and Reaping Strike. This may go horribly wrong, but at least I will try my best.
  2. Necromancer+Shaman (Ritualist) - Not as a pet build, but as a vitality caster.
  3. Necromancer+Nightblade (Reaper) - Will try cold+poison DPS.

If Crate adds an helmet that looks like a plague doctor’s mask it would fit perfectly in the build’s theme.

Yeah I’m the same with dual pistols , 99% sure at this point I won’t be bothering with that .
I have one now I made 6 months ago , still lvl 52 , logged him in yesterday , switched on my buffs , logged him out :stuck_out_tongue: I just couldn’t , it’s just a lot of kiting I hate .

I also have 3 pet builds and a lot of that is also running around like a headless chicken , I’m not looking forward to the same with the necro , so I’m knackered for builds in the expansion , but leaning more to the necro , but up in the air , just not sure .

The one thing I am 100% looking forward too is the extra stash space and my primary reason for buying it . Sounds like it’s a good upgrade , if that changes for the worse , then I’m stuffed , I won’t bother .

I don’t use any form of mods so these stash assistant things are useless to me :stuck_out_tongue:

Probably going to start with a Reaper to use that Soulrend that is gathering virtual dust in a stash file somewhere. Cold/vitality is a combination I haven’t managed to get to work so far.

same idea here except i will probably go the classic DW route (if it’s supported by gear ofc). looks really cool lorewise, cold and vitality for the master of death
