Tortoise is good when pick and use with other defensive mechanics.

I never play pet as well, so I don’t know if there’re more interesting thing to pick and you don’t post your grimtool link to your build too. So I can’t give more information.
I used to think maxed turtle shell needed more points of absorb after xpac. Especially with some of the new mythic gear procs but… it IS a tier 1 celestial and it does it’s job perfectly for what it useful at (lower level grinding) and you can stack it’s absorb with other circuit breakers including other sources of absorb.
I can see where the devs are on this. But yeah, more would be nice.
I still stand by my opinion that Turtle Shell is the worst devotion proc. Specially when compared to some of the other T1 devotion procs.
The nodes in the devotion are decent though.
I wouldn’t argue with any of that. 
Turtoise - 125 HP , 52 DA 4% armor and 4% HP for 7 points. You must be joking to call it good , its just a waste of precios points for one hit proc >_> And the proc itself is not gonna safe you in trouble.
It’s actually 5 points and not 7, but i get your point. Panther is 4 points and it has much better nodes for example.
With the addition of Stag I don’t think I’ll ever use Tortoise again.
