Total Newbie - Considering a few general builds, tips?

Trying to make a build of my own for a change and I’m a bit confused by most guides and mechanics guides…
Think it’s possible to make a full out spirit build?
Considering:

  • An Arcanist + X glass cannon that stacks cast speed
  • A 2 x pistol or 2x dagger dual wielder that stacks attack speed;
  • a 1-hit-1-kill all big crits character.
Any pointers as to how to go around the builds, if any of these are possible or/and feasbile?
I’d appreciate tips as I’m trying to figure out which skills of which class and which celestial trees fit to what kind of character in particular. I’d appreciate more of a direction rather than a link to a specific guide; no offense but I just like to find my own twist to a build.
    Thanks!

Welcome to the forums.

The prevailing ‘wisdom’ here is that most or even all of your attribute points should go into Physique, for a number of reasons.

An Arcanist cast speed glass cannon would go for PRM (Panetti’s Replicating Missile).

DW ranged would use Fire Strike from Demo. You also need certain items to enable DW ranged.

DW melee would use Dual Blades from Nightblade.

Big crits would use 2H Blade Arc from Soldier.

In any case, the best way to learn what works for you is to experiment. Fortunately, respeccing is cheap.

Thanks buddy.
I’m curious - why the Physique? What are those reasons?

Physique gives HP which is hard to obtain compared to cunning and spirit whose benefits are easier to get making it more valuable

A lot of defensive stuff comes from devotions which is basically like a 3rd mastery having everything

Things you cant respec, stat points, mastery points and mastery chosen. There is plenty of room to play around. You can figure things out as you play
