Town hall bell call all to it

my biggest issue with raids is that you have to micromanage each villager back home in order not to lose anyone
so just make the town hall bell call all home even if they cant fit into it
ideally they just need to be within the walls but that be a bit more complex

If you keep track of the raids you can use your work camp and mine labourers as your tower guards. This brings them inside and armed before the raiders arrive, though they might spend too much time shelter stocking than fighting.

It is positively confusing to have the TownHall Bell clanging away, one bunch of villagers running for the safety of the walls, while another group of villagers is blithely trotting in the opposite direction, directly towards the on-coming horde of raiders!

  • And when they close enough to the raiders, turn around and follow their fellow villagers back inside the walls.
Meanwhile, the Wainwrights on their carts are supremely unaffected by any warnings or traffic and drive their carts right into the raiders with fatal results for themselves - but the raiders never touch the oxen, or even steal a cart to make off with more Loot!

Simple consistency is all I want: Everybody without a weapon should run for the protection of walls, or the Town Hall, when large numbers of men with malevolent intent are approaching and someone gives warning.

Yes would be nice if turning the Bell on made everyone without weapons return to their houses.

“What’s that? The alarm is sounding and a huge army of people are coming to pillage and kill us? Okay well hold on, just let me walk past them to go get those berries first.”
