transferring components

Hi everyone,

I know that augments from Factions cannot be transferred between characters, which I think is an annoyance that I cannot understand why it exists.

Ive read in threads that what people do is select Kymon or Vigil for Veteran and Elite and then stock up on the augments from that faction and then change over to the other faction on Ultimate. From that perspective you would need to do this unnecessary grind on every character just in case you want to switch augments when you switch the build. As a person who enjoys changing up builds while leveling up, this seems an absurd system.

I like the idea of having to choose a single faction(from the perspective of doing quests), but you should be able to transfer the augments from another character who sided with the different faction.

Does everyone simply do the extra grind with every character to have augments from both factions? Does anybody else feel that this should change in GD so the game play would be a bit smoother and people not following a build not be punished for siding with the wrong faction?

You can go back to Veteran/Elite at will any time you want. What exactly is preventing you from just going back to a previous difficulty to buy augments from the other faction? I don’t see any reason why you would need to stock up on a bunch of augments.

Doesn’t the reputation reset when you pick a different faction? Or it affect only the current difficulty?

faction rep is tied to the character, you cannot be revered in both factions. When you choose a different faction at a higher difficulty it gets reset to for both factions.

so we are left with 2 choices:

  1. stockpile for 1 faction and then choose another one
  2. stick with one and hope you dont need the other one

i see this as an unnecessary annoyance to the game. similar to how you cannot transfer rare crafting mats, but your lvl 85 can craft the item and transfer it. all mats/components/augments should be transferable.
