How do I transfer my save games to a new PC?

Copy paste.

Pretty much that. Back up the save folder and then paste it back when you have GD installed again.

Ah, you have cloud saving on then. :slight_smile: Still it’s a good idea to back up your save folder just in case. The cloud has been known to lose stuff before now.

I found my GD folder but there were no save games there. Maybe my settings are wrong?

Well, it’ll either be in Steam\steam\apps\common\Grim Dawn or My Documents\My Games\Grim Dawn\main\save

Please…this isn’t correct. It’s not surprising no-one is finding save games there as this has never been the location for the save games. I’ve noticed recently a few people quoting this as the save location which has been baffling the hell out of me where they are getting this idea from.

The correct location, and where they have always been, is

Steam
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\folder of numbers\219990\remote\save\main

I was so happy when Dammit added the game and char file locations in the description box in GrimTools when you want to upload a char into the calculator or the checklist :slight_smile:

I’ve just made a new thread with just the save locations for easy finding. Hope this helps. :slight_smile:
