So I’ve leveled me a Shaman up to almost 34 now I have an issue I’m considering going trickster but am enjoying both Wendigo totem and the corrupted lightning totem’s damage (using a caster offhand that boosts vitality damage) so question is would adding those two to a trickster build be viable like a vitality/some other element build work well? I’d like to go trickster over say conjurer right now but do like those two skills a lot would say something like vitality/bleed or vitality/cold work? I was even thinking of working in the phantasmal blades into it if I could.
If you enjoy Wendigo and Corrupted Storm Totem, definitely go Conjurer, Occultist offers the most synergies with Vitality damage.
Phanatsmal Blades is not very good when specced for Vitality damage, it works best with double conversion (cold to fire and chaos to aether), which doesn’t work with Shaman.
Tricksters work better as Lightning (dual wield) and Bleed builds.
See the thing is I’ve tried Conjurer multiple times and I don’t like the way it feels I can’t explain it but everytime I make one I never end up finishing it something about it just never “feels” right to me when playing it. I like the Shaman I like the occultist but together I just can’t play them as a conjurer I don’t know why.
I would like to humbly suggest that if you add bleed focus to your build by getting ~8 ranks in insect swarm that a trickster could work fine. Maybe not optimal, but still good. There is pretty significant bleed on phantasmal blades and you could use blade trap to keep enemies in totem range and apply more bleeding. Also if you are doing piercing damage then adding nightblade is the best way to capitalize on that.

Well I think I’ll go lightning damage as suggested though I know this said trickster in the title is it the best for lightning or would I be better served going for something else? I just couldn’t figure a decent way to build a vitality trickster so had to shelve that still play on using wendigo totem makes it easy to survive heh,and storm totem just gonna use it as regular lightning.
