I just lost my second HC character to Logh. I don’t know, just feels kind of impossible now. I managed to beat him with a ~90 classless character before, and now my ~75 fully classed characters are dropping like flies.
Damage is obscene, minions effectively invincible, there’s 3-5 sunders, he leeches, and you have to stand in 1 spot to hit him(that’s the part that sucks).
If FoA brings insane power creep, maybe this could be playable. But as it stands, two thumbs down form me.
Boss HP buff probably does make the fight a bit harder if this was post the most recent playtest patch build, especially without high single target damage. He’s not going to be an issue for level 94+ builds with decent endgame gear IMO, but perhaps earlier it’s a struggle. One option is just wait until 94.
If you post a GT, someone might be able to give you more insight into what is happening.
Luckily I didn’t nuke my character right after death, This was started in Ult, and had a perfectly ordinary run through the game. It’s not a meme build, if anything, I’d consider it a power build.
low dmg
horrible aoe
it becomes a slog because killing the adds on this thing sucks with 15k dmg sav basically sole aoe is the sword proc
not sure skipping both widow and revenant was the right move here, specially when left out stuff like omen, soul harvest etc too to boost dmg
Yea I would expect to have all my devotion points by the time I reach Loghorrean in Ultimate.
That would definitly help a lot by having more damage and more survivability
the wps doesn’t hit them behind you in the logh fight when you’re standing all the way in his mouth, making you either have to turn around or rely on the aether barrage
and yes, your sheet dps is 33k, with 15k sav dmg, that’s not great with no RR outside Wrath
but the low dmg is very noticeable, even outside logh’s sunder stomp leech
that’s the thing that puzzles me, you only have 24, there should have been more even without FG
like in basegame Normal alone there is 28-30? on Ult think there was supposed to be a couple more in base game areas too iirc, so something got rushed/skipped
*i would still normally consider this low dmg on logh, and not like some default indicator of “success/point proven”, 50k sheet dps still seem low imo - probably more so with the lack of aoe reach behind
It’s one of the harder things in ultimate only runs imho. Very noticeable that you’re missing devotion points. The reduced resistances are also a challenge sometimes, but usually you can get the right ones up there.
I played the character as pure Shaman until 70. Pretty sure I fought Karroz as pure shaman. And that fight was buffed and a bit scary, but nothing to complain about. The leech attack on Karroz makes sense.
After unlocking the Necro side, everything felt easy. Basically a walking simulator. I even went to get the PV devotion point.
Making Log fight an actual fight again? Man, the times are changing for the better! I remember this fight being tough at release before it got nerfed back in vanilla GD.
Release Logh was hard because we didn’t have consistent/high enough AoE damage to kill its special Dreadguards (and they spawned more frequently than they do now).
Logh itself has never been threatening outside of exactly its acid spit shotgun.
Would be a change of pace for Logh to pose a meaningful threat on its own in ways beyond instagibbing shotguns.
31 devotion points only at Log Ultimate and corpse dusts on every important slot , this is build issue unfortunately , also this common base items are no go after level 35 , at level 75 that’s shoot in the leg
Logh + minions did crazy damage though at release, a lot more than now
Thats when warcry reduced damage by 40% and blindside by 60% lol (i had both maxed out)
I’ve got 2 shotted in HC after 20 to 30 minutes (as a blademaster) vs Log Ultimate.
Charged Logh or the minion with blitz, I forgot to be honest, a minion did hit me and log killed me (or the other way around).
I wasn’t aware of RR back then though but still, i would have needed to overcap resist maybe that would have saved the character
