Sadly I did not click on time before my pets ripped them to shreds, but I encountered some new enemies in the Crucible yesterday - they were called Underdweller Behemoths or something similar, blueish-grey colored large Trolls, similar to Voldrak in look (they had cauldron-like helmets). I do not recall encountering these anywhere in the main game before.
They were in the second or third wave of the Epic difficulity Crucible, will check today if I have the time to see if I can capture a screenshot.
The name makes them sound like they’d be in the same sort of places you find Gollus and Ikrix in, the Mountain Deeps areas, but I never saw anything but Trogs and such down there. Possible mob from the soon-to-be-new Beast roguelike?
Could be! Or maybe as you say, in the Deeps or under the Hive. I’ll check there when I get there on Elite with my Blademaster. Given how Trogs are a Troll variant, maybe these are to Trogs what Stonewart/Plaguewart Trolls are to the regular Trolls.

Nah, Wast Marsh has Plaguewart Trolls and they have greenish skins.
Here, managed to make a screenshot. They seem to always appear in groups with Trogs. Sorry, the Crucible is super hectic, did not get to zoom in.
Isn’t that a special crucible breed. Smuggler pass has stonewart, East marsh has plaguewart. I don’t remember what exactly is in Deadman’s gulch though
There’s a handful of monster variants that were cut from the game that we tossed into the Crucible.
