hi guys ,
as the title says i am thinking of upgrading one of my 2 systems to ryzen the question is does Grim Dawn plays well the on this cpu ?Does anyone from the community has one and test it ?
My 2 systems are made from a 2550k 4,5gh with 1060/6gb and 8320 4,3ghz with 290 trix x
Im pretty happy with the performance in all games (1440p) ecxept in Grim Dawn ,in the 2500 i see deeps to 30 and in the fx minus 20 the only thing saved the day was the shadows but i really like them ,nothing else i found on the web or in settings improved performance.
thanks in advance
PS please no answers it plays well on my 6 years old laptop etc
I got an I7 7700k probably the fastest CPU for gaming available, overclocked to 4,9GHz coupled with a GTX1080 and still the game is dropping to 30 fps quite frequently. It also feels very micro-stutter-y sometimes, even when the fps are much higher than 30.
After watching Jayztwocents and such on youtube I am NOT going to grab a Ryzen cpu for a game pc. Multiple reasons are that it is still too young and has no proper support yet. If you go for Ryzen you also need a new Mobo and the manufacturers are still learning how to make them work maximally with this new CPU architecture. Not to mention the additional costs having to buy a new mobo just for a cpu upgrade.
The way Ryzen uses its cores is nto supported by game devs. Seeing a lot of game devs don’t even utilize I7’s properly don’t expect it for Ryzen any time soon either.
All benchmarks thusfar show that you can game on a Ryzen setup with decent results. But it is far from efficient compared to intel chipsets. Ryzen currently is better for usage if you do editing and such.
I’d wait till there is better support and other kinks have been ironed out.
thank you for your answer , that covers it all since 7700k has also the best single core performance ,if you see drops to 30 every cpu out there will be worse.
