A There is no way to offer upgrades through Steam, but Crate may be able to offer some additional rewards as add-on DLC or something in the future. But not until they can actually produce the rewards and get them in-game. There is a workaround though. Buy the desired version. You can give the extra Steam key to a friend. On release you will get an additional key to unlock the perks of the Patron respectively Loyalist edition.

I’m not certain what we’ll do with the legendary edition once Alpha comes out but, at the moment, I don’t see any reason to take it down. Who knows, maybe we’ll just leave it up indefinitely for anyone who thinks the game is worth it and wants to pay more.

@66halo66 - the legendary edition was discontinued in the past and superceded by the current editions. So, it sounds like a yes to me.

We may offer another boxed edition at some point but we do not want to start taking orders for them until we actually have an agreement with a distributor who can facilitate this for us. Right now we’re completely focused on delivering alpha and will have to look into another boxed edition more at some point in the future. I’m sorry we don’t have a clear answer on this.

@Gurthos - let’s see what the future will bring.

I just now bought the Patron edition because for some reason I thought my early access would just upgrade to the Patron edition. As I understood upon final release I will receive I will get a key that unlocks the perks for me?

Perks should be in the final release due around February or they could be shortly after that. Whether there’ll be a new key or not to unlock I don’t know.

The “Upgrades now available!” link brings me to a message from Medeirra that says in large red letters (twice) that upgrades are no longer available. Is this an oversight? If so I would like to upgrade. How would I go about that?

Not a deal breaker, but I’m also wondering if either package comes with a disk.

EDIT: I did buy from Humble Bumble.

I don’t know if that’s a current or old message, but disc copies were only available with certain packages bought via the Kickstarter some years ago.

Upgrades may not be available due to the immenent full release of the game.

The red messaging is news to me. I guess Humble Store can currently not offer this service. AFAIK each upgrade needs to be tailor-made, which is a significant time commitment. Check again later. I would assume they will be offered again.

C´mon, I wanna throw my money at Crate Entertainment and upgrade my game to the fullest. Give us the alternative guys and if that´s not an option anymore at all, at least gives us a way to donate whatever we want separately.

I decided to upgrade my original Kickstarter package recently. After seeing the red text I pondered posting here to ask about it…ended up deciding it was easier to just buy a new package and get two base keys.

I really hope I do get the extra assets/expansion via steam and won’t be limited to my old key.

Still - end of the day I have spent enough time playing that it still remains good value after the additional outlay

Quick question eisprinzessin. I just realised that my address may have changed since I ordered the game then upgraded via Kickstarter to get a disc copy of the game. How do I change it, assuming it was actually entered anywhere for delivery of the disc copy when it comes out? Humble? Steam? Or will I be contacted for my address details once they’re ready for shipping?
