[V 1.1] various bugs

I noticed some bugs while playtesting:

In bearmode the grazing cows are… quite interesting to look at:

This only happens in bear mode.

At the trading post you could theoretically buy dogs/cats but the required building (Dog/Cat kennel) cannot be build:

At the start of a new year around the time when new livestock is born and the barns are overstocked their health drops instantly to 0 % and you’ll get multiple (one for each barn) death tags. These tags don’t fit to the barns and refer to the dogs we cannot buy yet.


Theres a translation error regarding the big shrub in german. The transcription says “decorative small shrub” instead of “decorative big shrub”
Please note that this is not a specific bug for V 1.1

Even if that is unintentional, it fits the bearmode theme enough to be called a feature instead :rofl:

Not sure if this is specific to 1.1, however when I ring the town center bell, the sheltered villagers will attack all wild life. In my case, they shoot up all the deer in the vicinity instead of shooting raiders.

The game crashes. During a small battle, with about 1/2 of 34 raiders dead, the game suddenly exits, with a quick flash of a small blue square, which I think had the letters “ff” on it, but that was gone in 1/2 second. No kind of error box came, no no way to “send a log”?

Did you verify game files? Are you running mods? Have you ever installed melonloader manually? (in which case, do a clean installation)

I have never used mods, and don’t know what “melonloader” is. Maybe I should look for some log files. I had used the game for many hours before the crash and made a town of about 150 people from a new map all with 1.1. I can see a file with this name “Farthest Frontier.exe.9860.dmp” which seems the be made around the time it failed. I treied to upload it, but it won’t “Sorry, the file you are trying to upload is not authorized (authorized extensions: jpg, jpeg, png, gif, txt, zip, mp4).”. Verify states “All 326 files successfully validated”

This has been so for a long time. It’s strange that the town attacks the deer. It wastes a lot of arrows. If you have hunters nearby they can gather them up for food. Strange workarounds are: ring bell. wait until 5 deer are killed. Stop the bell and wait until they are gathered by hunters. Ring bell again. That way at least you get food out of it.

Not sure if it’s a bug but my Horses keep dying for no reason. Says Unhealthy Livestock but fully staffed and no shortages for hay, grain, etc.

Whenever a horse dies I get this Dog dialog box pop up as well:

I found another one but I’m pretty sure that it’s not a specific 1.1 bug because I demolished all raider camps months ago, the achievement for Elite Squad didn’t trigger but the requirements are completed:

I’m having a bug with knowledge points. I’ve already started my third game, and the error keeps happening. When I try to add a point to “Scientific Method,” I can’t confirm it. Whether I add one point, two points, or split the points among different technologies, if a knowledge point is added to “Scientific Method,” I can’t confirm it.
