[v1.0.0.8] DEE Witchblade, Dreeg Dreadnaught the Slightly Crucible God

Yea…ill rephrase. I am torn between this build and the DEE Witch Hunter, I understand both builds can handle all content but was curious if you had to choose one of these as a reliable build to do all content consistently what would that be.

I like the idea of being a tanky character but don’t want to sacrifice a lot of DPS. I have checked out BoC runs for both and the WH is quicker but it doesn’t seem to be by much, maybe I’m wrong.

Keep in mind this build has been tailored for Gladiator in the first place.

DEE WH is faster and overall superior to WB version for the Main Campaign (except if you have some tankiness fetish ), however when it come to Crucible/Gladiator farming WB version is far ahead due to the extra toughness it provide it is safer and lead to a higher succesrate than his WH brother.

Would you say this build or post nerf cold BM clears gladiator crucible faster?

I was looking for some build to farm Crucible, and this seems awesome! It will be my second character for sure. Thanks OP! =)

First off thank you Drizzto for yet another awesome build. What I don’t understand is the two devotion points towards ‘abominable might’ in abominations left arm, isn’t the +10% health only active when the skill is active?

edit: sry, it only seems active in the ‘without’ grimcalc devo setup… my bad.

Hi Buddy

Thanks for the great build. I have a lot of fun in Grim Dawn. I play since ~ one month but with many played hours to find a build for me.

My Question:
The last Set-Bonus of Dee-Set is Cast-Speed.
Google/Forums: Cast speed does not make a different in Dot-Builds (the dot does not tick more ore somethink else)
Why we use this last Bonus?

Thanks and Good Luck all

(sorry for my bad english)

I think you are thinking about cast speed vs attack speed, right?

This build entire damage output comes from casting abilities. Having bonus cast speed result in faster casting/shorter animation time. You would want to cast then kite around as fast as possible. It won’t show on sheet dmg, but has a lot of benefits in reality.

Also, the 5 piece bonus gives you massive extra dmg bonus proc too.

As I also play this build of drizzto, I can say you only need decent cast speed for it, your dmg output mostly comes from poison DoT, all your dmg skills have delay cooldown, so the strategy is casting all of your skills then run around and see mobs dying.

Hi Guys

is the insane lifeleech from Wendigo’s Mark counted from all poison dmg from all sources?

thx and hf,gl

WM only leeches life from the vitality damage it causes.

can I translate this build for Korean Grim Dawn Community in Naver?

So I’ve been loving this build. It’s my goto. Are you planning on updating this build to take advantage of the new Ashes of Malmouth DLC?

I’m looking for suggestions on where to dump the extra skill and devotions points. For devotion, I’ve decided to dump the extra 5 in the Eye of the Guardian devotion. If anyone has a better idea, would love to hear it.

As of level 96, I have 11 attribute and 16 skill points to spend.

Same here. I figured after maxing Dreeg’s Evil Eye what this guy could need is more confusion so I max/1/maxed Bloody Pox and bound Guardian’s Gaze to it.

I found a mythical Mark of the Forbidden (trades the poison cloud for a considerable damage boost and -200% HP regen on BP), slapped a Dread Skull onto it and its a beautiful support skill now. This build causes enough collateral damage with the Black Gem of Dreeg that you can just proc Dreegs Blood, kick back and laugh.

Attribute points all go into Physique I guess.

This was one of my all time favorite builds, i too want to know if this goes well in AoM!
Used to faceroll vanilla nemesis in ultimate i remember, dont know about new ones in AoM (with the appropriate gear upgrades ofcourse)

How does Guardian Gaze perform? Never use it in any build before.
Debating with myself if I should go for it or pick the Oklaine Lantern or Murmur instead.

Also, with the Mythical Mark of the Forbidden, what does it mean by -200% regen on Bloody Pox? The enemies hit by BP will have their health regen in the negative?

If you cast it once or twice on every bunch of monsters you end up with 6 or 7 eyes surrounding you. Plus the constellation gives additional poison damage so I figured it was the obvious choice.
Its like a slow, neverending income of orbitals.

With the damage boost from the Mythical Mark you can rampage through Elite DLC (if you want to farm rep or want to get some intel on the layout) and it makes for a nice addition in Ultimate if you can wrench it into your rotation.
The -200% HP regen doesnt turn negative I dont think, it just drops flat to 0%. Doesnt sound like much and to be honest it isnt most of the time, but it shines against Regenerator bosses.
Im honestly not sure if it beats the regular version apart from those instances.
BP packs more of a punch but you dont get the poison cloud is the essential difference.

I decided to go for Murmur instead, opting for acid&poison RR instead of another poison source and bind it to BP. So far it seems pretty decent in Ultimate. But I have a very mixed feeling about the Mythical Mark. I have a feeling the proc on the original one is more useful than this “upgraded” version.

If you’re talking about Mark of Apostate then for crucible the vanilla version beats mythical version due to fumble and impaired aim chances

Thanks for this build

Actually this just gave me an idea. If I use the Mythical version, would the -200% regen debuff work on the Beast nemesis? This build being DoT build, it should be slightly easier.

I am still super hung up on that jackass grrr… :furious:
