I’m probably way off the mark on this, but could a pair of Empowered Flamebrand be worth using? If the proc stacks (I have no idea) that would be another 60 from the -n% category. The weapon itself is kind of meh as far as dps goes, but with enough resist reduction they might be worth using. Maybe? :undecided:
It doesn’t stack with itself.
Just did this build with lesser gear than you. Still melt through beginning of ultimate. Thank you! OP
Ive started a good collection of legendaries, but only maybe 3-4 of the ones u use.
So my question is: Looking at items, whcih stats do I aim for and in what order
IE. atk speed>Lightning>chaos >fire.etc (as an example)
Also in ur grimcalc (no items) u have a spare 7 points, but i dont see that mentioned anywhere?
If resists were an issue, what do you guys think about using Ulo instead of Solemn or Turtle, seems like these three constellation can be swapped out according to needs at the time.
ulo sucks now i only use it to farm cronley rep to dispel his shield.
the resists it gives are minimal. u can easily max elemental resist by maxing the 3rd skill in pneumatic burst and put a point in light of empyrion
Speaking of Light of Empyrion, the bonuses on this are so nice… the resists are on point making gearing easy, and the fire damage bonuses are exactly suited for the build as well. Only issue is points, maybe if survivability is high enough, sacrificing points in Scales or Targo to get more in here might be worthwhile.
So far I still didnt get 2 swords, but what do you think of Draccaris, seems decent with +1 to demo skills
40-60 sec on Fabius
still no belt, shoulders, wrists but with Eternal
thx for the great build!
btw, isnt Grasp of Unchained Might better then Voidsteel Gauntlets?
proc seems useless with 10 sec cooldown, in Grasp we have +125OA +10% speed about 40% of time
Voidsteel gives +OA (permanently), better Attack Speed, and bonuses to % Chaos Damage, which will buff Brimstone. Unchained Might gives none of these.
bumpy mc bump bumpo
every enemy on ult gains 40% resistance to everything except physical, you can test vs target dummies
on grimcalc you can check the intrinsic resistance of each enemy, fabius has 50 fire and 0 to lightning or chaos, so he ends up with 90/40/40 to the relevant damage types for this build
i did some testing with elite legion firestarters and they’re trash despite the higher tooltip, the lack of aoe proc makes clearing regular mobs noticeably slower and it pushes our damage to like 90% fire, meaning more of our damage gets resisted by fabius. can’t imagine a situation where they’d be beneficial.
other than that, i think the black star/ulzuin’s pyro setup is a bit slower than your setup, but that might have to do with the low OA not consistently giving me 1 crit per second to trigger ulzuin vs fabius, not sure.
on the other hand though i’m noticing fabius can’t even really damage me at all, the bit of lifesteal from the black star is pretty cool, and i swapped shoulder and leg components for scaled hide (which im now going to do on every build because theyre ridiculous), and even with only 33% bleed 77% pierce res i’m taking noticeably less damage than you are in your vids.
other cool thing about elemental balance set is that theyre craftable so you can get useful stuff like bleed res on them from crafting at skeleton smith, or some of the sorely needed elemental resist from duncan.
and yeah the build i’m working on now is melee agrivix, just need a couple more pieces before i try it out. still need a pyroclasm mark so i can play around with the demonslayer guns too
will update for 1.0.0.2 when i get a chance.
Minimally affected by this round of nerfs relative to otherbuilds.
I think it remains one of the , if actually not THE strongest builds in the game right now.
will still rip through everything in ultimate like a joke.
i’m considering mark of dreeg + necrosis +arcane bomb over malediction now. combo will likely outperform the prepatch build even.
eternal band is shit now , use elemental balance instead.
but what difference in speed? 1%?
+18OA is a joke for the hilvl armor, and compared to Grasp we will have 55+OA more, which is still better then +32% chaos
am I right?
trying to farm them
I’ve been finding Wyrmbone hanguards very effective:) (I dont have the other items)
but they are doing -% lower resistances, not flat as malediction, am I right?
Agreed. My Saboteur tears through ultimate still no problem, however a lot of my “less OP” characters got tore to shreds by the nerfs. I feel like this build excels even further than before after the nerfs, and that the nerfs just made build diversity that much worse.
I understand that the devs don’t want all the characters to be tanky gods, but ultimate is basically designed around building defensively. If they want to make offensive devotions more appealing, they are going to have to make them a lot stronger as opposed to totally killing the defensive options.
Love the build, thanks jajaja. I just reached the quest where you have to choose between two blacksmiths. Which one is best for this build, angram or duncan? I was thinking duncan for the elemental resist/dmg but I’m not sure. Also looking forward to seeing the build updated for the patch. <3
Also I guess physique got even more important now with the nerf to defensive devotions? So far I’ve been going pure physique but spirit is starting to look like a good attribute as well…
hmm, will you consider the Essence of Ch’thon (black legion) for the weapon augment?
+20 vit,chao dmg and 10%chance of 30%reduced targets’ resist for 5 sec. It’s not bad i guess.
