V1.1 Patch Preview

Good work and news! Very excited for this.

Many many many questions…(also, HOA joke and your sense of humor in general is appreciated)

  1. Can Copy and Paste Settings be expanded to the Default? I.e. I want to make 3 more Smokers and want them to be 10 meat/0 fish and I set that as the building default.
  2. Can bridges generate their own fishing points? Bridges provide shade and shelter and structure for fish in still or moving water, all things that fish love to use. Or is that a game-breaker?
  3. Wild Flowers, Grassland, can we maybe have a Pasture land or something that improves the pasture bonus for livestock?
  4. Request to be able to have a way to view Arbor vs. Farmland Fertility, since they don’t use the same mechanics.
  5. Bumping on improvements to Fishing Shack. Needs a tier 2. Maybe use pathing to follow shorelines at X distance from center rather than a static circle.

nice changes, especially new tool for roads/buildings
will be nice to have an option to upgrade any type of building, not just shelters, but lets see how things will go during playtest
guided journey is also nice thing that was asked a lot, game will be more player friendly
not sure about grass clearing… but ok

and i got a question about dlcs - for free or need to pay? (not a problem, just asking)

Free build mode will unlock the ability to make our towns look like real medieval towns, all higgledy-piggledy. So exciting. I’m also loving the new emphasis on being able to create viable town squares. Still waiting on a town square fountain though :stuck_out_tongue: Amazing work and thanks to you all.

DLC will, of course, require a small additional cost. However, given Crate’s capabilities and sense of responsibility, I’m confident that this is a completely worthwhile investment. :smiley:

I love this game, and will buy any and all DLC’s for it. Free-build, simply being able to add grass lawns, bridges, very nice! What I am hoping for now is being able to dig channels, connect bodies of water. Maybe have fishermen in boats, or along the shoreline like today. And trade via waterways, having ships arrive, sending them with cargo perhaps. Great game! Thank you Crate :slight_smile:

Please add the ability to upgrade walls or merge them when they are double.
Currently, double walls don’t merge, and it looks ugly.

Always a joy to follow the development of your games. I’ve been supporting Crate since the Grim Dawn pre-Alpha and it’s been rewarding every step. Incredible to see how far FF has come in the four years since I bought in, too! One of my favorite games getting better and better all the time, the free-build has me falling in love all over again! Thanks, Crate!

This is not active for playtesting yet, right? Because steam does not allow to update even when restarted, and using the earlier beta code from the website / forum I get an error message ā€œbeta access code invalidā€.

Just have to wait a few hours more I guess, or am I missing the obvious?

Crate are East Coast USA based so not up yet. Will be on Steam later today unless anything changed at the last minute.
