So, I’ve been tweaking my Vit DE Cabalist that is in the process of gearing and had an idea of running Blight Fiend solely for Rotting Fumes as a debuff. Now, in Ultimate with a Pet Build, he’s a solid tank. However, in a non-pet build without pet buffs, I’m less sure of how he will work. I’ve got an extra 13 points right now to work with so wondering if this crazy or maybe viable. I’m not counting on him to do any damage but rather just be a walking debuff.
Am I crazy? Should I just max out Solael’s Witchfire with a point in Second Rite and call it a day?
You could run Unstable Anomaly as an idea so it’s health doesn’t matter if you keep resummoning a new one to take the old one’s place. Depends if you want to work another cooldown ability into your rotation (looks like you currently have Curse of Frailty, Sigil and Bloody Pox).
I was thinking the same but Drain Essence makes that more complicated because it’s the main damage dealer and requires channeling. However, I don’t think the Fiend will last long in Ultimate or Crucible against bosses or upper-tier mobs. That debuff is sexy though and having both skeletons (Revenant) and a fiend or two will be nice for distractions when I inevitably have to kite (Hello Mad Queen!).
