As Graveyards cannot be deleted or moved (for now), I’d like to lodge a humble proposal for alternative body disposal solutions.
Some options with real-world precedents:
Cremation
‘Sky-burial’
Composting/Natural burial
Going to skip right over ritual cannibalism stuff before someone suggests it, but renewable options that don’t take up land space + have other mechanical benefits/drawbacks could be interesting.
If you really hate this there’s a small glitch in the matrix that each generation forgets where the previous generation are buried and are more than happy to bury their dead right on top if a grave yard magically appears in the same spot.
Thanks for the pro-tip, I didn’t know this was a thing!
Less about hating, more about thinking through settlement sustainability on smaller maps. Hopefully a glitch in the matrix won’t be the only long-term solution.
I mean, kinda! The real world example I was pulling from was ‘burial forests’, where human remains are intentionally buried to provide additional nutrition to the soil.
The practice has been around for ages and is gaining in modern popularity, the other example was the pod-composting trend that’s also taking off in areas where it’s now legal.
