Anybody made a Vindicator build. I have started one from scratch.
So far disappointed with part of the Inquisitor. I guess it’s just not what I expected. The Flame of Ignaffar has short range. I expected a fire ball.
At level 5 it is not much better than Fire Blast from Searing Ember and not near the range and gobbles up energy. Maybe I just need more practice using runes. The Shaman is carrying me so far.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Why dont you make your own vindicator build?

This is my draft of primal strike Vindicator. Unfinished, but feel free to use as is.
I made two similar concepts yesterday, one for dual wield and one for two-handed. I have not tested them yet.

Syphin, I am making my own build. I don’t want a build.
Commenting on Flame of Ignaffar. Was just wondering if anybody had noticed the short range and compared to searing ember fire blast.
Perhaps. I stated what I am looking for incorrectly.
Thanks for offering build help.
Well, that’s just how Ignaffar is - a cone shaped skill of medium range. I personally think that Ignaffar’s range is just right. It’s strange that you would compare it with Fire Blast, it’s just like comparing Fire Blast to Callidor’s Tempest.
If you’re aiming for Ignaffar build then consider Purifier instead of Vindicator. Vindicator is more intuitive either as a rifle build or a cold/lightning caster with wind devil, rune of hagarrad and storm totems.
I killed my first nemesis boss with a vindicator build I made myself ^^
Thanks for the information Stupid Dragon.
Since most monsters have high speed need distance if a range players
The reason I compared the two is the specifications to a degree
Fire blast Level 7 relic |Flame of Ignaffar Level 4
18 energy |41.7 energy
20% Main Hand (14-22) |17% Main Hand (7-34)
146-169 Fire Damage |33-72 Fire Damage
330 Burn Damage over 3 sec. |222 Burn Damage over 3 second
Longer range |shorter range
Cheap |Expensive
Since I had never seen it before they looked fairly comparable.
Do they combine? Since I put all previous character and goodies on a flash drive, this is like a new player starting. Except for the knowledge of where things are. Want to play a pistol/shield or dual pistols fire character. Using the fire of the Inquisitor.
Thanks again for the insight
Dual pistol I’d say definitely go Purifier. Firestrike +ranged expertise +bursting round +storm Spread +temper +word of renewal. Can go either aura of conviction or take censure alongside Ulzin’s Wrath and just pewpewpew and laugh when things run towards you and die to your auras. Either way, inquisitor’s seal on top of that is like icing on the cake. And Deadly Aim, as long as you have enough offensive ability to crit and proc it will keep rolling nicely with it’s +% OA.
Vindicator as someone said works pretty great with savagery and 2h range with the 2h bonuses from shaman and the same inquisitor choices as above.
Ingafar’s, in my opinion, pairs best with arcanist (or surprisingly, necro). The elemental weapon aura, flash freeze. hit 'em with word of power, freeze 'em as they gather around you, hose them down with ingafaars and run off and let the Word of Power DoT and burning damage from ingafaars finish them off. Tried Flash Freeze/Callidor and Ingafaar to clean up, but it seems like too big a point spread for ‘main’ attacks.
You miss that Ignaffar does damage every 0.3 seconds, while cast time for Fire Blast would be around 0.8 seconds. But yeah, a low lvl skill can be worse than Fire Blast, but the potential of the mastery skill is higher. That’s by design.
use the conflagration relic if you want a long range (and devastating!) fire channel. Its amazing, and i plan to use it on my own inquisitor (but a purifier - which doesn’t sound right for inq/demo combination imo…)
Appreciate all the advice.
So far have just used 2 passives in Inquisitor.
Never pictured the Inquisitor as a melee character
Still deciding what I want to do with him.
Will look at Flame of Ignaffar later. Need to see what combines with it.
