Vindicator

I have been playing with Totems Wind Warder and got a bit tired of only 2 viable spells (totems and wind obviously), so i was thinking about vindicator since inquisitor also have some lightning based spell + some elements.

My question is… while vindicator seems capable of dealing more dmg, what are the negative side of vindicator versus warder? apart from the obvious tankiness loss (i hate to drop menhirs will  )

When AoM was launched I made a WD vindicator with Storm box and I loved it.

It totally melds content with both good flat lightning dmg and electrical dot. I had fun leveling it and polishing it end game so I personally recommend it.

maybe it will be the one char i will finally finish the game with it  (yes, i still didnt complete even a normal one, my record is the Gates of Necropolis waypoint… its not that im not able to, but i keep getting sucked in the crucible runs until i need a break from Dawn

stomb box+ tether melts so fast that you will just breeze through normal

the thing is… i dont just “hack n slash”… im turning adventure mode on, i have to feel the atmosphere, going forward admiring graphic details and surroundings… like those outside toilets, mountain of corpses and so on… reading every single note i can find, building the tense and grimness

i enjoy the road itself, not just splashing blood and bits… the game just fascinates me, and the team did really magnificent job creating the atmosphere and enchanting it with those random scribblings of random stories… thats why the progress on the game is so slow, but its like a good book ^^

heck, thats how i learned english when i got the internet for the first time, i got sucked in the games stories, not just buttons smash

P.S. but in terms of tactix, would it be better to just max the box and the wire or spread points evenly on the box, word of pain, wind, totems?

If your adventures help you formulate some theories please do post them herethen. It has spoilers so watch out

will do  or not…

but in terms of tactix, would it be better to just max the box and the wire or to spread points evenly on the box, word of “agony”, wind, totems?

P.S. was too slow to add P.S. the first time i guess

How I did it and recommend.

Start Box. 2 pt box 1 pt mastery until box is lvl 10. Then 1 pt box 2 pt mastery until tether. Finish storm box (SB should be lvl 15-16 by now).

Now do 1 pt tether 2 pt shaman mastery. Complete Tether like this and pump WD. Do what you want after this. I’d keep rushing maelstrom and Raging tempest

Rush Elemental storm devotion. Ascendant Crossroad>toad>Hawk> Rhowan’s crown is shortest way.

Get a Yeti Horn in act 4 around Mog’s shirne! They drop a lot

thats 13 points… raven, throne crown is 15… wouldnt it be better to go for 15? (once i have 15  )

P.S. you didnt use totems?

Wut? What raven and throne?:stuck_out_tongue: 3 pt hawk, 4pt toad, 1 pt ascendant crossroad, 3 pt Crown. So at 11 pt you get elemental storm

Edit: I forced myself to stay away from totems. Wanted a WD/box build. You take Totem then it becomes a totem build  Doesn’t mean you have to do that as well. But witht totem mods like the one from sky effigy they are not super effective. I stuck to Yeti horn

oh, not maxing crown then. well i was looking at raven(4 points) and empty throne(4 points) +crossroads devotions. and then 3 for crown, so 13 if not full crown. 2points difference anyway from one path to another

P.S. effigy boosts lightning, horn boosts electrocute
P.S.S. oh yeah, horn gives storm box also

Don’t be concerned about a little % dmg. It’s about the WD skills& mods and SB + skills ofc as you mentioned.

The build has strong electrocurte dmg too. Rush Tempest after rhowan :). then widow

ok, thanks for the tips… will try to make it hardcore, for the 1st time

Be paranoid with resistances then after act 3.

thats why im targeting empty throne devotion
