I was wandering about build a Cabalist vitality caster by the skills and the sinergy and looking for opinions. Do you guys believe Shaman does better with Necro for vitality caster or Cabalist is ok? What do you think guys?
Shaman helps with the insane vitality resist reduction you can get, but otherwise its debatable how much the rest of the tree is useful outside of wendigo.
Indeed. I was thinking about Occultist’s sigil, possession, vulnerability… seems a good idea plus necro’s vitality skills.
Shaman is superior to Ocultist as vitality caster.
Are you considering all occultist’s skills?
corrupted storm totems are pretty strong, especially if you farm an (easy to get) groble sky effigy (+1 max summon and -3 second cooldown).
for bossfights, you can have up to 4 totems at the same time (won’t happen vs. trash - those red chainlightnings make short work of most trash groups before you can even plop down a 2nd or 3rd totem)
I’m considering what shaman and occultist offers for vitality necrocaster.
Shaman:
30%+ health
20%+ pierce resist
Mana regen
Storm totem
Up to 70% vitality RR!
Sustain from wendigo totem.
Occultist:
~150OA from BoD and permanent mana PITA
12% phyz res
100%poison resist
Doom bolt
Pox and sigil with awfull dmg
Up to 40% vitality RR from CoF
Clearly Shaman is better and has better synergy.
And possession? I was thinking if it does a signifcant help. Is a great buff. I’m already are convinced than shaman is a better choice, but that buff is really good, and Occultist have vulnerability from curse of frailty(sorry the english).
There’s the Dark One’s Gift set for a vitally caster cabalist though and other end game gear like Mythical Abyssal Mask.
Any combo of Shaman/Occultist/Necromancer will work though IMO the Conjurer (Shaman/Occultist) can end up the most powerful of the lot.
