I don’t have much experience with the Nightblade tree. I’m wondering if the dual wield procs along w/ witchfire & 2nd rite on top of SoC would give enough damage. The build would basically work like this:
Shadow Strike to mob pack
Drop Sigil of Consumption on mob pack
Debuff w/ CoF/Vulnerability
Buff/Heal with Blood of Dreeg & Pneumatic Blast
LMB pack down
Shadow Strike out as needed
Will this be enough damage/sustain, or should I spend points elsewhere? I appreciate any and all thoughts that could help me get this off the ground.
Not even close. What will work is the poison/acid damage from Lethal assault, Nidalia’s hidden hand, Nidalia’s Justifiable ends and Blood of Dreeg (along with items like Venomlash and a lot of green/red constellations).
Numbers are low on the Chaos and Vitality bonuses in the Occultist tree (esp. Vitality), and you don’t reduce Chaos resistance at all. You have two skills that reduce poison/acid resistance and plethora of damage bonuses.
I use something like this (devotion included), though I’m still testing it out.
Note that I use Venomlash and the rest of the Deathmarked set (Without the axe), hence Oklaine’s Lantern and not maxing all NB skills.
Even if you don’t have Venomlash, Slithtongue (it drops in the Wightmire cave from a corpse in a small camp just north of the shrine) counts as a dagger as well. Try getting a Slithtoungue of the Wastes on ultimate, it’s amazing!
