So this Question is pretty simple but I dont know how it works so I am here
I know that Shadow strike for example does use Weapon Dmg (so I am hitting and applying all effects from my ‘normal’ autoattack?) but I wondered how something like Lifesteal/Lifereduction works with this…
For example I have a Skill with 100 Weapon Dmg
100 % Lifesteal would then be --> Full health restored?
50% Reduction to Enemy Life --> 50% cut of enemy Hp pool obviously
But what if I have less then 100% Weapon Dmg? For Example 50 %
100% Lifesteal would then be --> 50% lifesteal applied? (or still the 100%?)
50% Reduction to Enemy Life --> 25% Reduction to Enemy life (Or still the 50%?)
I know my Values are way too high but just to make it simple I guess Also what if I have something like Energy Burn and so on …^^
The effects scale down with weapon damage, life steal becomes less effective with lower weapon damage values. Things will not scale up with values over 100%.
I known tooltips are off now, they gotta be. When I pick up a 1 point auto attack skill like 1 point in cadence or 1 point in savagery depending on the weapon sometimes my DPS number goes DOWN according to character sheet- meaning it shows naked regular auto attack as higher dps lol.
I wonder if this has anything to do with the alteration they made to the way sheet DPS is actually calced/displayed.
EDIT: That having been said, it’s generally a good idea to ignore the sheet DPS because even after the tweaking they did it’s still rarely an accurate predictor of what your actual DPS is going to look like. My Warder has under 30k sheet DPS, cranks out six-digit bleed crits relatively effortlessly. /shrug
