So, a guy joined my game a little bit ago under the name abcdeath. He starts asking me to come to town Devil’s Crossing to help him with the last boss. I portal to Devil’s Crossing, and am met with multiple Nemesis bosses all at onceat the portal(2-3 Fabius, 2 Moosilauke + alot of summons).He was not being attacked by them. I’ve never seen this nor understand how it was possible when he was in my game for less than 4 minutes. Thankfully i was on a char that was geared to handle all of it, but What can be done to prevent this? (Especially if people like this start going into hardcore games to townkill other players)
Ban him on sight.
GD could use a blacklist system for sure, preferably done through Steam->Recent Players rather than character names.
Don’t play with people you don’t know and trust. This is a client-side game so if someone wants, they can just use a mod to spawn 20 Iron Maidens and laugh while you die.
I am more curious on how you were able to handle multiple nemeses in closed quarters. Was it like Elite dificulty or you are not telling us something.
The best suggestion is simply ban individuals who don’t adhere to your own personal style in your own personal game.
I have a sneaking suspicion that you won’t run into something like that again short of that exact player joining another game, so you should be good. The worst I see is people joining my “quick playthrough” games and clearing every inch of every map, joining “full playthrough” games and steamrolling through the main quest, or joining Crucible games and going AFK.
Once in a blue moon I see hacked players, but they’re usually hosting their own games.
If this were a widespread issue, I’d be more for a fix. However, the GD community is mostly made up of decent people.
