Weird ugly thing right from Korvan Sands riftgate

What is this thing and how do I get there? I checked every corner in nearby areas and I could not find any passage. Is this a part of new quest?

There is a passage nearby, just not towards that thing.

Not really if you pay attention to all the clues. Various lore notes and dialogues say that this “thing” spans under the whole Korvan sands, and if you look around the area including Cairan Docks, you will see more of these ugly mouth openings. You just have to find the one that is actually enterable.
