Im about to level another character, containing soldier and shaman masteries, shield, just to have something -Not Squishy-; but, after getting 12 levels dying in crucible and played a bit in campaign im realizing how horrible it will be to level this character.
Clicking each mob, waiting for end of blitz or wave cooldowns… It’s … Pain to make FULL game again with a so small aoe skills, damn it, i guess im not the only one that experienced this ?
Im fine killing a boss in 20 seconds instead of 5… But not about clicking each little mob like that.
I made a total of 2 characters yet:
Spellbreaker: OFF for leveling
Witchhunter: DEE for leveling
Was fine (especially olexra flash freeze, till ultimate just -super awesome-)
-> Do i have a solution, using proc skills or basic items skills ? (that is your knowledge help)
-> Is my only way is finally to go for a battlemage ? (and so ez OFF?)
What are the AOE skills in the whole game ? I know the end game is about single target but … Leveling is freaking long especially since i like to clear and explore all at 100%
When leveling warder, I usually start with shaman and max Devouring swarm. Thing is a beast in earlier levels. After max swarm I switch to soldier and go for Blitz. By that time, you should be able to use offensive procs from devotions (and possibly items, depending on what you have).
This is what I do in earlier levels. From that point forward it usually depends on what items I have.
Don’t know what weapon setup you are going with but if you go two handed you have access to primal strike and you take the node on the line that allows you to use it 100% of the time for a small damage reduction. Only thing you’d have to worry about is having the energy. I’m new though and I have only used primal strike on my ranged shaman but it is an excellent skill in my opinion and raining lightning on everything is glorious. There also seem to be some really good devotion proc AoE’s and of course there are a variety of AoE’s that can come from components as well.
As said previously, start with shaman and max swarm
At the same time, max mogdrogen pact for mana regen (you can also simply use potions but i like the pact as i’m less often waiting for potion cd).
Then unlock blade arc.
When swarm is no longer that good, remove all points to max blade arc and laceration (no point in clean sweep).
When you need the points, remove some from mogdrogen pact (finally leaving it to 1).
