Currently pushing SR on a new save: So i just got absolutely dumpstered in SR 38 by regular trashmobs with a char that easily beats Crucible 170 and after this clip i just went on to SR50 facetanking everything.
Anybody know what happend? I certainly have no clue…

I think they nuked your Vit Res (by 30% - 44% so 2 - 3 times more Vit damage taken from your not overcapped 80% to 40% - 50% res) and shotgunned you at the same time. Grim Dawn Monster Database (Shattered Realm) And you had ~62% life before dying, 2% too much for Blast Shield to save you 
And far too much for Serenity. I’d bump up that Vit overcap.
Was gonna add that circuit breakers only proc if you have health left once you pass their activation threshold. (Started it before the edit.)
Yeah, yup, yah… I totally see the issue… u are using a purifier.

Your armor absorb is 84%. U might wanna get that bad stat to 100% for unexpected physical blows, similar to your shown one.
Thank you for the replies guys. still dont use optimal components because i didnt want to waste my ugdenbloom on some pieces, i guess with sacred plating and a topaz in ring i can fix some of these issues. I was just really perplexed to get shotgunned like this, never happend to me before 
Those Ugdenbog Wraiths are completely busted and have been since day one. Big AoE stacking RR debuff when they die and they tend to show up in groups? Completely balanced.
At least you can skill disrupt them to avoid them casting their on death debuff but there’s like one notable skill that has skill disruption (it’s War Cry).
