I tried to make one of these legit, and crafted 60+ of them without seeing a single PBM prefix on a level 12 mule. I then crafted 450+ and didn’t see a single one using Grim Dawn Trained Hard to turn off mat requirements, just out of curiosity’s sake at the rate for crafting.
Someone suggested perhaps Crate had change the level required for the prefix to be crafted, so I tried on my level 79, and again crafted close to 500 of them.
This time, I crafted a grand total of one. I don’t wish to use this one as I feel like its cheating, but is the craft rate really 1 in 500 or even possibly 1 in 1000 or am I just getting extremely unlucky?
If I a) remembered the bloody formula and b) had the chance to craft numbers within easy access I could tell you exactly, but 1/500 chance sounds about right. So yeah, crafting one legitimately is a pure case of chance and to readily get them you’d need to set up a bunch of people to craft them as a syndicate just to make them more likely to be crafted.
Or you just give up, curse the RNG and use Grim Stash to craft the fluffing thing
Besides. Plaguebearer affix has been nerfed so badly that it no longer warrants not using a pet weapon. For lighting pets Spark of Ultos is the summoner’s choice. EDIT: For flat RR it’s better to squeeze in Manticore or Rhowan’s Crown in your devotion map.
Plaguebearer affix adds flat resistance reduction to all weapon attacks. Before it was nerfed from 30 to 15 (I might remember the numbers wrong) together with Masters Spellblade base flat rr it made Plaguebearer’s Master Spellblade of anything probably the highest source of flat rr in the game. But since flat rr doesn’t stack it’s better to get it elsewhere.
