With a character I have about 100% damage reflected thanks to Shield Wall. Surprisingly, mobs are not hit very hard, so I was wondering if reflected damage was calculated after your resistances?
It is said to happen before any damage mitigation on your side.
But reflected damage is also subject to all defenses and resistances on the other side. Many mobs are resistant to the elemental/magic damage types they are primarily dealing. Then they are armored, too, helping out against reflected physical damage. Add to that, that they typically (some exceptions) don’t deal that much damage, compared to player-dps, and not much will get through.
My guess I that the dealers of exceptional damage (nemeses, super-bosses and some elite mob types) may have reduction to reflected damage, just like the player can accumulate from devotions, selected augments and such.
